I did a lot of research before purchasing this tripod. I just recently received it so do not know how sturdy it will be but I’m impressed with the build.

    What I like:
Cost is low for the features.
Weight is not too bad. My scale says it’s 2.2 lbs.
I like that it has a panorama ball head.
It’s very easy to move from horizontal to vertical shots.
The two bubble levels are conveniently placed.
It’s short enough when folded to go in my carry on bag.

    What is not so good:
This tripod is not very tall at the longest extension so would not be comfortable for anyone who is tall. I’m 5ft. 3in. and have to bend down to look through my camera’s viewfinder (but not to the point that it bothers me).
The feet of the legs do not move to adjust like some tripods.

Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Used it and very compact + lightweight. Stable enough for the price to take some sharp pictures, which I used to shoot the full moon and the Lunar eclipse from 2 weeks ago. Used it with a DSLR and a 300mm lens for these.

I bought this tripod for some macro work with my Canon SX740, primarily indoors. And it looks like it will meet my needs perfectly. With some patience, it looks like any configuration is possible for the macro work. While lightweight, it is sturdy. But by no means rugged. The leg diameters are a bit small for use in full extension, but a lower hook is attached to the bottom of the mast so that a weight could be added for additional stability. There are lots of plastic joints which seem fine for light duty, but I’d be concerned with reliability in the long run. The important structural parts are metal including the legs, camera mount, adjustment screws and ball gimbal. At under $40, its an excellent value and I’m glad I bought it.

     WHAT I LIKE:
➠ Reasonable build quality, given the price.
➠ Packs up pretty small, and is quite lightweight.
➠ Comes with a decent carrying pouch.
➠ The included ballhead has a quick release plate, which is super handy when you need to remove the camera from the tripod often.
➠ Given how small it packs down, it has a good height range, and extends to a decent maximum height. It certainly won’t go close to eye level (unless you’re really short), but that would be tough to expect from such a compact tripod. And going to 49” is still way better than those mini tripods that only go a foot off the ground.
➠ I love how versatile it is – for example, the feature that allows you to mount it upside down and get it super close to the ground can come in super useful for interesting perspectives and for macro photography.
➠ The included ballhead moves smoothly for the price (I have ones that move more smoothly, but they are way more expensive).
➠ The 360 degree rotation feature on the base of the ballhead is great for making small rotation adjustments without having to reposition the whole head. It’s also useful for panoramic photos.
➠ The ballhead is removable, so you can use any ballhead that you’d like.
➠ The control arm is removable, so you can take it off if you don’t like / need it.
➠ The leg lock clips are plasticky, but work smoothly and seem to be secure.

    WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED:
➠ Although the suggested load capacity for this tripod is 7 lbs, I’m not sure how well it would do with that much weight on it. I’ve put my Nikon D810 with 24-70mm f2.8 lens on there – which only weighs about 4.5 lbs – and already at that point, it’s getting pretty close to its limit. It doesn’t feel rock solid with that much weight on it. For example, I suspect it wouldn’t give super sharp images when doing long exposures – especially with a telephoto lens, where vibrations are magnified – as I think even a slight breeze would cause small vibrations. Also, I doubt the ballhead could support a heavy, front-balanced lens, such as a medium sized telephoto, without creeping. The absolute maximum load that is indicated for this tripod is 11 lbs – but I don’t think I’d put that much weight on it.
➠ The legs tend to close by themselves quite easily. It would be great if there was more tension on the leg angle adjustments to reduce this.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: For those looking for a compact tripod for their phone, point and shoot, mirrorless camera, or small dSLR (with small to medium sized lens), that goes to about chest height and has lots of useful features, this tripod offers great value. But if you’re using a heavier rig, and are looking for a high level of stability to do things like long exposures, it may not be sturdy enough. I intend to use this as a dedicated tripod for my phone, and think it’s great for that purpose.

I’m pleasantly surprised by this little tripod. It’s small and lightweight but it seems well-made and sturdy.
When I first took it out of case and set it up I experienced that same “wobble” that another buyer noted in a video. My first thought was to send it back but I decided to check out all the features first, and I’m glad I did.
I fixed the wobble simply by tightening the ball head lock and turning the ball head as far as it would go then tightening the knob again. No wobble, steady as a rock.
I’m impressed by the neat features in this little tripod, especially for the price. The legs spread out for low shooting and the center column comes out and flips upside down for macro shooting.
There’s even a retractable “stabilization” hook on the center column for adding weight to steady the tripod when it’s windy, etc.
The legs have easy flip locks and the locks that flatten the legs are simple to use as well.
My first impression of the quick release plate was that I didn’t think it was sturdy and I wouldn’t trust my DSLR and lens on it. No worries. It’s solid as a rock and simple to use.
Since this is right out of the box obviously I haven’t used in the real world yet. However, I don’t see any issue with it at all, and I look forward to having a lightweight, functional tripod with me always. I’ve missed some great opportunities because I didn’t have a tripod with me but no more. Even though I have a very nice smaller Manfrotto with legs that also drop for low angle shooting, it’s still weighty enough that I usually don’t take it with me unless I need it for fireworks and other shoots like that.
This little gem will be either in my bag, in my trunk, or over my shoulder all the time.
With all the features for the money I doubt you can beat it. Buy it.

I recently replaced my old – similarly priced – tripod with this one. I didn’t want to spend more than $40 but at the same time, I didn’t want a piece of junk or one I would regret getting. I primarily use this as a videographer who likes to carry and use as little gear as possible.

In comparison, I find this to be more compact, lighter, and to have a much more versatility as well – with regards to the head. This fits/attaches to my camera bags tripod loop holders, whereas my old one would not. The main thing I like about this one, is again, the head. It has more handles and knobs than I previously had, allowing me to more fine-tune my tightness and camera motion. I am more easily able to get smooth pans – turns in motion – due to this tightness knob.

While it’s not the best tripod I’ve used – with regard to the head – as you can easily spend more than $100 alone on just the head – I am very impressed.

The tripod is very sturdy and feels very well built as well. This tripod is a vast improvement over my old cheap tripod which didn’t even pan smoothly. The panning has been smooth for me and is definitely super useful for shooting videos. It has a plethora of other features as well, and I won’t list them all, but they all work as advertised, making this a super versatile tripod. The tripod even comes with a pouch, making it super convenient to travel with. Overall, I’m really satisfied with the product.

ZERO CONS. Such a good price this type of tripod, it’s strong & stays exactly where you set it up also has a ton of adjustments to get the perfect angle. If you’re looking for a tripod, buy this. No ragrets!

The fittings don’t tighten very well to lock the ball joint. The rubber grip on the fastener slips so you cant ever really secure that. It comes with an Allen key, I didn’t know why until I realized its used to tighten the screws after the come loose; which they often do. Will work to mount small cameras with ease, anything bigger you have to use a lot of caution and effort.

I was looking for an entry level tripod for my sister in law who has just started a side business for maternity shots. I knew she was on a strict budget but did not want to compromise on the quality. This particular tripod fit the budget and we were excited to test it out to see the quality. The material is quite sturdy and was able to withhold the weight of the canon T3i canon rebel camera. Having some experience with higher end tripod I still wanted to look for a quick release plate and a compact tripod. This becomes easily portable and this was very important as this will be needed and used in different locations. In total it is about 2 pounds which is comparably lighter than other tripods I have used in the past. A travel bag is also included so you do not have to go and purchase more items to make this tripod portable. The height is also adjustable up to 49 inches so that is a good thing to keep in mind depends on the nature of photography/videography. I will definitely recommend this tripod for entry-level especially students who are on a budget but want to get into purchasing equipment.

Okay, so I have been looking around ALOT for a decent tripod for my videography company, This has a VERY high quality small fluid head on top of the tripod. It pans and tilts so nicely and smooth! I can’t believe the quality of this tripod for the money! This is by far the best bang for your buck. It’s all metal construction, it feels so sturdy when you have it set up. This is by far my favorite tripod! (I have gone through 4 from amazon already) my search ends here! I have seen similar fluid heads for sale on Amazon for almost exactly or even a little more than what you would pay this whole tripod set up! I’m telling you look no further and give this tripod A shot. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED! I contacted the seller about purchasing another one, and every time I have talk to them they have gotten back to me within the hour! So great and respectful! I love using this thing! Hopefully this review can help someone get such a great deal like I did!

I’m loving my new setup! I was using boxes and books previously to set up my camera. Luckily this tripod will let me use it on a desktop or easily transport it to another room or outside as it extends to be able to be set up from the floor as well, very versatile. It’s super sturdy too! It has a leveler and can easily adjust the camera to shoot from any angle. Now I just have to save up for a better camera.
