Okay – so I’m a “Selfie Queen.” 😀 I bought a $22 tripod with remote. It didn’t grip really well and after a few uses, the screw that holds the grip to the stand got stripped. Low quality. I spent $30 for this Xenvo tripod. I took this broomstick photo because you MUST see the physical difference $8 will buy you! Add to this, you get a lifetime warranty and an inventive USB “welcome video” card. Xenvo takes this product seriously. Oh – I have a Galaxy Note 8, which is to say it’s bigger and heavier than most phones. Note in the picture that the phone is being held steady at an oblique angle. The tiny, cheap-quality tripod would never do that.

I love this tripod! It is the perfect thing to hold, to attach to my electric bike handle, to the headrest in my car….you name it, it can fit! I use the Olympus Tough camera and take all my videos on it for YouTube. I couldn’t have chosen a better tripod, plus it is very comfortable in the hand to hold because of the grip of the soft rubber legs. You can twist the legs to make an extension to your arm when filming, too. I love it!

I really like this product, the flexible tripod is well made and it works very well. I have to give this 1 star because there is a safety issue with the phone holder. When I opened the holder to mount the phone I heard a big pop and noticed a small hole on the thick backgorund paper in my photo studio. It took me a while to realize that a small barrel nut that compresses the spring inside the unit broke loose and was shot at high speed out of the holder. This small metallic piece traveling at high speed could have easily hurt someone’s eye. I couldn’t sleep all night just thinking what could have happened to my daughter who was helping me take some pictures using this tripod. This item should be recalled.

I ordered 3 different flex tripods after my most recent one broke. This one had the highest price point and was worth every extra dollar. The build quality difference is obvious and the motion range blows the Flexible Tripod, 12 Inch Phone Tripod with Wireless Remote Shutter sold by TOBRBE (17$) and the UBeesize 12 Inch Flexible Cell Phone Tripod(18$) out of the water.
The length of the legs are about 9.5in which provides more functionality than a lot of the other 5-6in copies.

I was very disappointed to receive this item scratched, with all pieces wrapped in plastic bags and not an original box as displayed in the photo. I had looked forward to gift this on Christmas to my partner but will have to return unfortunately.

Over the years I, like many people I suppose, have had a few of these grippy tripods. This one is the best I’ve tried. Rather than the older string of ball in socket joints that loosen and sometimes pop out, this design is continuous. It may be a wire or something on the inside. On the outside is a padded, squishy, grippy material that is new to me. The legs and phone mount are connected by 2 pieces. This combination allows you to swivel and lock into a number of positions, both tall and wide. And finally, there was a link in the box to a quick but informative video which showed me how to best use the swivel lock. I would have probly figured it out in a few days, but may be not. Instead, after about 2 minute vid, I was on point. For what it’s worth I bought the same brand macro + wide lens. Equally as useful and well put together.

Eight months of use and one of the legs is broken and no longer bendable.
Claims to have a lifetime warranty, but there is no place on the website or through Amazon to redeem.

I was impressed with the tutorial video that comes in the form of a USB card. Well done and very informative. The tripod itself is a quality product and performs well. I appreciate the lifetime warranty but, based on my initial observations of the quality, I do not believe the warranty will be necessary. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Revised review: The tripod works well for its intended use. There is, however, a near fatal flaw: it does not hold your cell phone securely. My phone has fallen out several times under regular usage. I am not confident you could mount this on a bike and expect the phone to remain secure. I did devise a simple duct tape and cord solution (the cord is tabbed on one end with tape and then wedged into the cell phone cover with the cord extending through the battery charging hole and tied off on the tripod) but it isn’t ideal especially given the advertised strength of the grip. I debated about returning the product but I suppose I’ll just deal with it.
No, I would not recommend this to others nor would I purchase again.

I video call with my long distance partner and her friends frequently, when they’re out and about it’s usually by phone for ease of moving me about on their end, but it’s a hassle to hold my phone in my hand for hours at a time, so a small tripod that can be sat on almost any surface due to its flexibility really does wonders for being able to frame myself and chat with my hands free so they don’t tire out. It would also be quite useful for taking video of yourself in the same way a selfie stick might, though it doesn’t have the benefit of the button at the end like one of those does for taking photos. Still, it’s easy to use and adjust and very helpful for calls and video.

WOW! To sum it up just WOW! The quite literally near infinite positions i could adjust this tripod in just left me speechless! I had been using a cheap black&white ball-joints-for-legs tripod that would break ALL the time, i finally had enough, i wanted to go pro but not extreme pro with like a 4 ft tripod, i found this, liked the reviews and I went for it; I’ve never had a product more satisfying than this. Now for some pointers & important notes worth mentioning…..
1) When you 1st receive the product, tho you just want to jump right into it like a kid on Christmas morning, if you’ve never used a phone tripod, it would definitely be worth the extra 10 minutes to look at the card it comes with, its actually a flash drive they’ve cleverly engineered into the shape of a standard credit card, contains the lifetime warranty, a quick tutorial video, and few other minor details.
2) When putting it all together it’s absolutely imperative that when attaching the ball joint swivel to the base, that you lock the crank handle in place, any position is OK, otherwise it will do what its designed to do and simply swivel around its axis over an over when you’re trying to screw it in place (also before you do this make sure the round pad the ball joint screws into is completely wound counterclockwise, to do this, lock the base swivel in place and twist the circle pad until snug, this in turn exposes the max amount of threading for the ball joint to attach to) once the ball joint is snug with the round base pad, unlock the crank handle and [while ensuring the round base pad isn’t moving with it] you can now spin the ball joint on its axis indefinitely. When finished just repeat the procedure in reverse. This isn’t precisely explained in there instructions in explicit detail and took me a couple times and a few head scratches before i saw what was going on.
3) DO NOT use the phone mounts screw adjustment all the way open until the phone fits, this is simply used for extra wide phones when the spring loader is stretched to capacity an the phone still doesn’t fit. If your phone doesn’t fit when stretched all the way start with just a pinch of adjustment and pull the spring loader open, repeat each time until your phone finally is snug when spring loader is pulled out (Note: i wouldn’t pull the spring loader to max capacity when securing your phone, simply because this could possibly wear out the spring mechanism more than it was designed to, so use the screw adjustment and use the spring loader JUST BELOW max. capacity when securing your phone)
4) when using your tripod, you can’t see what position you want it in until the phone is snug in the phone mount and you can see what’s on the screen, perhaps over time after you get really good and used to it this won’t be an issue, but definitely when 1st using it this can be tricky because the added weight on the ball joint from your phone and phone mount means that for any adjustment, if you do not securely have your phone held, upon unlocking the ball joint with the handle crank, your phone will just plop right over like a sack of rocks. This can be frustrating because when you’re adjusting the position, and you find you want it moved just a SMIDGEN, if not held(the phone) then you are SOL and PLOP, your phone drops 🙁 it doesn’t fall to the ground, or comes off the phone mount, but when you’ve spent considerable time putting it in that perfect position, and want to swivel the ball (and I’m talking about the ball joints ball, not the ball joints base) anywhere from half an inch to even just a hair, upon unlocking an plopping, you’ll find all that time and patience adjusting has been wasted and must start re-positioning [the ball swivel] all over again, and if you have accessories for your phone like I do(I, for instance have a clip-on fish eye lens and macro lens and this not only severely adds to the overall weight, even doubling it, but it also changes the center of gravity, and then) this makes the adjustment (mostly for awkward positions) particularly time consuming, and ensuring the ball joint crank is extra tight when locked is critical (ESPECIALLY when the ball swivel is say at a 90 degree angle). DO NOT LET THIS BE DISCOURAGING, FOR THIS IS WHAT MAKES THIS TRIPOD ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, the fact that you CAN put your phone in all these awkward positions, validates the truth behind the makers claims, for ANY other tripod this wouldn’t just be difficult, it would be IMPOSSIBLE, straight up, it WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE. Once you’ve got your position finally adjusted, its like having the robot arm from the ISS, suddenly it feels like gravity no longer exists with your tripod; absolutely amazing and simply brilliant!
AND 5) FINALLY, ( LOL i promise last pointer), lastly…pertaining to the previous pointer, there is a trick to work around that adjustment dilemma!! Now, this only works when your tripod is in a stand up position, if the legs are wrapped around anything in anyway this does not work. So, say you’ve positioned your tripod, and you want to make a tiny adjustment, but the phone is in a very awkward position and any adjustment will just be time consuming, and frankly a huge headache, well…you can leave the mount an ball joint the same position, the trick is in the legs! see, the legs are so flexible that with a little practice, you can simply bend the legs inward or outward(so from straight position to forming a lazy L-shape position) ever so slightly; 1 or 2 of the legs in front or back to adjust vertically AKA the pitch rotation, and one of the legs to the side to adjust horizontally AKA the roll rotation, and of course just use the ball joint base to rotate about its axis or yaw rotation, however the only prob with yaw rotation requires the clamp to unlock so jus practice bending the legs, and with a little time and trial & error, you’ll find that you can work around the yaw rotation ball joint swivel via the unbelievable freedom the legs flexibility give you Again, the wonders of this tripod give multiple choices as to which part you want to ajust. I’m telling you, the freedom one has in the positioning of your phone is undeniable
One very last tiny little thing, the legs at the base where they meet, there are 2 preset positions that they “snap” into, they aren’t very snug [meant for ease], only loosely snapping into place from its package position, to its stretched-out tripod standing position, when you are using the legs as adjustment by bending them, you can easily make the base of the legs snap back into the straight packaged position, and you wont even notice it; they snap so seamlessly, so if you’re using the legs as the adjusters, as you are bending them to adjust, just make sure the base of the legs are snapped outward, because once you set it down, they can have a tendency(especially after some use) to jus snap open agin, which can be bad, particulaly when its windy, cuz then youre looking at it just falling over, and THATS when youre phone will potentially smack the ground, damaging it and any possible lens you have attached, i usually get around this by by bending the legs ina curved convex shape, this helps especially when windy, and helps make the snapping mechanism more noticable, the more curved the legs, the better support for the windier it is…
THAT’S IT! PHEW!! ENJOY! I KNOW YOU WILL:)
