This is the best, coolest mini-tripod I’ve ever seen. It’s extremely strong, yet flexible and light. It holds my Sony HDR-CX900 camcorder and shotgun microphone that’s 2 1/2 pounds very steady, and I’m sure could handle much more. The camera head easily converts to a phone clip to take selfies or any kind of video or photos. The mount swivels and locks into any position, so you can set it up for landscape or portrait mode (see photos). The legs bend bend and wrap around the handles of a cupboard, railing, chair back for situations where you can’t find a flat surface in a convenient location for the photo you want. And the phone remote was easy to set up and use.

Seems really functional but it smells strongly of mold? maybe it’s the rubber? I tried cleaning it but had to move it to the garage since literally it made the whole house smell. Even if i touch it I can smell it on my hands afterwards. I’ll give it a few days to air out (it even stinks up the garage) if it goes away i’ll give the stars back but right now it’s unusable, can’t imagine putting it in luggage either as it would stink up clothes.

I actually love this tripod and would keep it if it didn’t smell so bad! If the manufacturer could promise me one or even two that don’t smell bad I would buy them immediately. But I have to return this. I tried to air it out. Leave it in the sun. Nothing helps. It’s so strange. It may be the rubber. I would really love this tripod if it didn’t smell and give it a 5 star rating!

I’ve been really impressed with the quality of this tripod, especially for the price. I use it to capture video with my phone and it’s worked wonderfully.
It has a bubble to help with getting your camera level, the legs are flexible so you can adjust it as needed, and the head swivels so you can have a landscape or portrait view.
My kids have knocked it over a couple times and it hasn’t sustained any damage, either, so it seems very durable.
The only odd part is that sometimes, while tightening the tripod, the knob bumps into the tripod head. Not a deal breaker but probably the only criticism I have for the tripod.
Overall, it’s a surprisingly good value for the price!

I ordered this one vs. a similar one SPECIFICALLY because it included the remote. It seems sturdy enough, and yes, that smell others mentioned is there (but I can fix that I’m sure). BUT WHERE IS MY REMOTE?!?!?!
Will update rating and keep if manufacturer SENDS ME MY REMOTE. Otherwise, the 30-day clock is ticking.

This was a replacement for another brand I had purchased previously. That model broke as soon as I tried to secure my phone. This unit is very substantial. Swivel part is made of what seems to be aluminium and holds the phone very well. Very happy with this purchase.

Brilliant design, so brilliant that it is not obvious where the phone holder is. Anyway once that is figured out you realize that it is a great tool.

I wanted a tripod and camera holder to hold my iPhone for unique camera angle pictures and videos. The Coman tripod so delivers. Although the directions for use are a bit confusing to understand. Let me break it down for you.
The actual iPhone holder slides so you can properly adjust your iPhone for a prefect shot. The top of the tripod unscrews if you want to use a camera (up to 4 lbs. You don’t have the freedom to make shots how you want based on adjustment of the red ball (which is unscrewed). However, you still get good angle from the Coman tripod.
What amazed me is the legs are so adjustible. You can wrap them around just about anything to get the ideal shot you are looking for. This may give you incentive to take some amazing shots and start a social media channel.
In all, this little tripod is so worth it, worth the money, and value. If you’re looking for a tripod that is super adjustible and inexpensive, look no further than the Coman mini tripod.
