I just just picked this up this morning from shipping company EPS in Dominican Republic. I headed to the beach to spearfish and take some videos to see how well it worked. Well I’m not to happy at the moment, I can’t get the my action cam to screw tight so it doesn’t move, not sure if it the strap mount or the action cam causing the issue. Second problem and the biggest issue the Velcro strap broke after 1 use…not happy at all, hopefully they will send me another one. Hopefully I can update with new info if the send me a replacement.

Los materiales son muy resistentes

I was really excited about receiving this product. I new that as long as my arm stayed connected to my body the camera would be there. We had a short 22 minute dive in very calm seas. As you can see from the picture one of the rivets that holds the pedestal to the strap is gone. One dive 22 minutes calm water.

Easy to use and it seems great. But just don’t make a fist or do to much with the hand that has the camera. I used it to record my hand work while wrapping a car and 90% of the footage was the back of the hand lol. So now I realized I just hold my hand out flat and aim the camera on my wrist. Just have to be careful around people because they may think I’m doing the Nazi salute ????

Really nice option for quick and long shots on-the-go video without a selfie stick. While just walking around town, this wrist strap coupled with my GoPro 6 Black is an amazingly freeing combination. It allows your hands to be free to do stuff unlike a selfie stick. When not in use you can just turn it around flat against your arm and go. And back up twisted into position in less than 2 seconds. I recommend that you turn on the stabilization feature in your GoPro (if available) for best results. I also wore this in the ocean surf for hours on two different days and it held up very well. I turned and twisted it around many times and it did hold its position when hit with waves. I did rinse it off with fresh tap water both times and let it dry after use along with my GoPro itself. Upon checking, I also did have some slight rusting on the mount thumbscrew that came with the strap like another reviewer. But the thumbscrew is easily replaced with other ones. That’s the only reason I took away one star from the materials quality rating.

Was it worth 10 bucks. Yeah it was 10 dollars worth . I put it in the water on waist high day. “wave hight “ it was not a clean day but it wasn’t ruff . On returning to my car after one time out .“a one hour section in the water”. I noticed 1 of the 4 rivets came out. I was bummed but then figured out I didn’t like the view for surfing applications. I also found that in paddling a lot that the rotation pivot and frequent use of my arms plus the wait of the camera in and out of the water would spin the camera in a less desired view. So other than that. I Went with other angles from other apparatuses. To get the desired effect. But I still have. I would try for something other than surfing in the future. But PS I was comfortable it didn’t effect my paddling didn’t effect the push-up… but didn’t like the view “ on a waist high day . And was bummed about a rivet coming out.

I was a bit skeptical at first but then I realize how comfortable and alleviated of having my Hero 6 GoPro attach securely to my wrist, It was a great choice. I didn’t have to worry about leaving it by accident or having to carry it with those plastic cases for the phones which they can be very uncomfortable around you neck after the first 2 hours. Plus, I was allowed to bring my gopro to all slides while most folks had to leave the long line they waited to get rejected because you are not allowed to bring the plastic case around your neck for safety reasons. Highly recommend if you are going to a water park and works well underwater too.

I bought this for a mini sub adventure in Mexico so that I could record the sea creatures. Quality is great and it held my action cam fine. However, when you need to spin it, it clicks and you can hear it in your video. A quiet swivel would have made this perfect.

TL;DR: I took this on roller coasters and it was great, although a small rivet attaching the mount to the strap popped out after a few days of use. I would buy this again and it was worth the $11 I spent for it.
The long-winded version:
I bought this specifically to take with me on a recent trip to Disney World, to capture fun video of the rides and other things we did. It was perfect for that: it was small enough to be somewhat unobtrusive, and I was able to wear the GoPro on my wrist all day without it ever chafing my skin or becoming bothersome. It was great to have the camera in a position where I just had to flip it up (and/or swivel it around) and turn it on, all within seconds, if I wanted some video. The way I had placed it on the mount thingy made it a bit of a challenge to switch out batteries or memory cards one-handed, but it wasn’t that difficult and I was always able to quickly take it off if I needed to. The whole contraption (GoPro and wrist strap) was easy to stash inside a waist-bag (“fanny pack”) when I wasn’t using it, such as sitting down for lunch or when I’d already captured plenty of video on a particular ride. It was also quick and easy to put it back on just before getting onto rides.
I’ve attached a screenshot of some video from one of the rides I took the GoPro on while it was on this wrist strap doodad. On rides I liked to capture a first-person POV for one go-thru, and then turn it around 180 degrees to capture the faces of my nieces who were seated behind me for the next go-round. Doing that I was able to edit together a fun video that cut back and forth between a forward facing POV and their faces on the rides.
My only complaint is that at one point one of the little rivets (bolts?) attaching the plastic mount to the wrist strap came off as I was adjusting the GoPro around for the angle I wanted. I think there were 2-3 others holding the mount to the wrist strap, so it wasn’t a critical loss when the rivet came out, but it was a bit dismaying since it was brand new and I’d only used it a few days. It’s still very usable and the loss of a rivet didn’t affect how well the GoPro stayed on or how I could position it, but I’ll be on the lookout in case it happens again– because that could very well be an issue since there are only 2-3 other little rivets holding the mount to the strap. That said, for the $11 it cost me, I definitely got my money’s worth and I would buy this again.
