I bought this over a year ago and I genuinely wish I hadn’t… As soon as it arrived I realised that the goose neck function was poor, it would bend under the weight of my camera- I thought it might just be that my camera was too heavy, but no, it did the same with my iPhone! The screw that holds the camera in place broke after use. (I did complain and fair play to the supplier they sent me a replacement section) but then, said replacement bolt wore out the thread on my camera! So now, I have a gooseneck tripod that is held in place with elastic bands and my camera can fall off and (potentially) be broken if knocked… all this because I tried to save some money. I have learnt my lesson- hope this saves you the aggravation I have had to endure!

This is a simple product that can hold an action camera (or other device) via the typical gopro style mount. The main difference between this and the one sold by GoPro is going to be the price. Note that the flex arm mounts to the clip using a gopro mount so you could choose to mount your device directly onto the clip. You could also mount the arm on a different mount. This makes it very versatile.

This gooseneck mount can handle the weight of my Sony handycam when I connect it via the 1/4 thread screw adapter. It can keep it stationary in one angle without going down (mostly when in L and U shapes rather than straight shape) but if I shake the gooseneck then the neck can move which is like the other ones more or less. But when I have a go pro attached to it since the weight of GoPro (with the biggest external battery) is way less even if I move or shake the gooseneck the shape doesn’t change. Therefore with a GoPro, you can attach this mount to any moving object such as bicycle, scooter, etc. If the object you are attaching this mount is super thin/narrow such as a 0.5″ pipe the clamp strap comes in handy as it can make the fit nice and snug so that the clamp doesn’t move. The clamp feels solid and sturdy and can open up to about 2″. So clamping it to tree branches, floor lamps, desktop and bed headboard is not an issue so long as they are under 2″. The clamp hights is about 2.5 inches and it brings up the gooseneck for about 1.3″ since only half of the hights goes between the gooseneck and the clamp. The length of the gooseneck is about 8″ and its thickness is about 1.25″. GoPro can be attached directly to the clamp as well if that’s what you want to do.

I work from home still and I’m constantly on video calls for important meetings. In the times of COVID i have converted my dining room into a “command central” so to speak, but the problem is my fiance and bulldog constantly want in and out of the picture.
Although this happens to a lot of people, i wanted to eliminate this as much as possible. So i purchased a webcam, but with a small tripod i would be able to eliminate them from view, but now it looked like i was preoccupied with other things when i was truly paying attention.
Enter the Flex Clamp! This little device clamps right onto the aluminum tubing which helps hold up my twin 36’ monitors and holds the webcam right above my laptop screen allowing me to adjust the field of view, but still show me as engaged with the screen. LOVE IT!
The clamp is strong and sturdy, the gooseneck easily adjusts then holds it’s position with no hassle, it comes with a few accessories to ensure you have the tools to connect what you need, and it’s very affordable.
10/10!

I have the one made by GoPro and it’s listed me for about 7 years and still going strong. I didn’t want to pay that much, so I bought this one instead.
It’s not bad. The clamp is strong and I doubt it’ll give out. The problem is the arm isn’t that strong. I can put my small Sony ZV1 on it and if the arm is too far horizontal, it’ll drop and won’t hold. I would trust it with my GoPro on a time lapse either. It would probably drop a bit unless it was set vertical.
So all in all, it’s good, but if the arm was stronger, it’d be great.

The clamp is pretty awesome. It securely fixes, plus the rubber band adjust the diameter of the opening as a bonus
Really disappointed with the goose neck extension. The pieces that are assembled with each other let you articulate the extension, in whatever position you need. Whether it stays in place is up to the gods. I’ve spent ages adjusting cameras (GoPros etc), but it often find the camera face down. Recently the extension has become looser. I only use it in one place (a branch for example) an it appears the slightest vibration causes it to drop. I now have two doing the same. Worthless tat, when you place a 150g camera on the mount on a stationary post and the gooseneck flops down. I wouldn’t be comfortable putting any of my expensive photography kit on it

Flexible section is made of cheap plastic interlocking semi-spheres. These is nothing beyond minimal friction holding these together. No internal cable or external sheathing. They are too loose to hold position even if there is modest movement. I had this mounted on my ocean canoe. On a fairly flat day it kept drooping. This made it worthless. On a huli the sections simply came apart and my GoPro is at the bottom of the ocean. I bought this as other guys use a similar similar flexible clamp. When they saw mine break they told me I had got the cheapo model. I thanked them for warning me in advance! I suggest I you have moving platform such as a bike, canoe, etc… that you buy a decent one instead. Don’t try to save a few bucks buying this thing. It’s horrific. Its a travesty. It’s a poster child for poorly engineered crap emblematic of the decay of craftsmanship and society. Dollar general would be the appropriate sales channel for this item as the expectation would be more aligned with the performance of this product.

The goose neck was so loose it wouldn’t hold the weight of the GoPro 7 camera.
Returned it ASAP for refund. And purchased the real thing from GoPro.

I received this mount on Oct. 5. First time I used it was October 10. I used it a total of six times on flatwater kayak tours ranging in length from 2-1/2 hours to 5 hours. Nothing strenous and not for any activity that subjected it to a lot of stress. On the last trip, I was adjusting the angle of the gooseneck, and the neck came apart at the first ball joint.
I haven’t been able to snap the ball joint back into place. Even if I could, I don’t know that I would trust it not to come apart again and risk losing my camera by having it fall into the water.
I had a GoPro brand gooseneck mount for several years (which they don’t seem to sell any more), so I am not a newbie at using one. Disappointed in the quality/durability of this mount.

it is very, very, difficult to open the clamp on this when you need to move it. Almost unuseable. Nicely made though.

I bought 2 of these.. use them to hold each their own aputure ML09 lights, which they do pretty well using the gopro-like snap-mount and adatpter that came with the arm.. when I went to remove the snap-mount from the end of the arm, one of the little tips broke.. and upon trying to undo it completely, the other tip broke.. Fortunately I have a genuine gopro-adapter that fits instead, but now I don’t dare remove the adapter from the other arm..

Got this for my son and his camera, he is always doing time lapses and needed a way to be able to set his camera up in sometimes strange angels, this works great, he is able to set up his camera safely and bend it to how he needs it to be without worry, this has held on to his camera without dropping it and can be bent.

The clamp is easy to use and works well, if a little bulky.
The gooseneck would be great if you were only doing static filming.. but anything moving causes it to reshape. I was trying to use it on a motorcycle handlebar, with a hero 8 on (Not exactly a heavy camera), and it seemed to sag out of position with very little movement.. under 10mph it would just fall back which was annoying.
I no longer use this on the bike, but the clamp comes with me, and I use a ram mount instead
