The dome is nice on my house. However the red flashing light is so bright you can see it all the way down the street. It should be a tiny little blip of a light that you could see when you get close enough. The red light makes it look so fake. I’m keeping it I just won’t install batteries. It seems more real without the red light turned on. I wouldn’t recommend this if you want one with a flashing light.

There fine

I love how realistic this security camera is. My neighbours think we put in a whole new security system! I never did trust that one woman down the street with the bushes shaped like Mickey Mouse ears. Who needs that level of whimsy on their front lawn? Now, she’s afraid of stepping foot on my property with those hedge trimmers!

I put above my game table, there were a lot of questions and accusations and a few flare ups . But a lot of laughing!

Don’t bother putting a battery in, as it only lasts a few hours

There’s lots of dummy surveillance camera products that scream fake right away, but this one manages to look clean and realistic. Would not recommend installing batteries to power the flashing red light, however, as this is a huge giveaway. Comes with mounting bracket and template so you can install it anywhere you might put a real camera. Was effective in keeping our sketchy building manager out of our business.

A remarkable copy of the real thing. Very sturdy an durable. Less then 2 minutes to install. From any angle or distance can not tell the difference. Did not try the batteries as most real security cameras have no internal power light. Great value and was Not disappointed with any features. Comes with a template for marking out where screw holes will correspond with camera mount. It comes with 2 mounting screws an dry wall protective sleeves.. Worrh ordering more for outside . A high quality replica that will fool anyone.

It looks a lot like the real thing, but after testing, I find the constantly rapid-blinking red light “too much”, so I’ve removed the batteries. Comes with a cardboard template for (included) mounting screws.
I would have given 5 star for slower blinking, or better yet, motion activated blinking

I’ll comment on the most controversial feature at the end. On opening I was surprised at how realistic this looked, looks well made like a real camera and the dome isn’t just dark plastic but has a little fake camera in it. Basically I was just very impressed how realistic for the price.
Given it is a fake camera that cost $8 I didn’t feel like putting holes in my house to mount this with screws. I mounted this using industrial strength Velcro and it worked quite well, had to press a little to not leave an open space between the “camera” and the underside of the porch where it was mounted. I picked this spot because in real life it would be very easy to have a real camera wire running there.
I also bought a second camera since this one was so well made.
I do have REAL security cameras, SIX of them around my house. Most are hidden as best can be but one can be seen from outside, as a deterrent and one in the garage also in plain sight, again telling anyone who gets in “Hi I see you”.
Now for the big issue, my real cameras have red lights!!! The lights can be turned on or off (the cameras are Logitechs, 3 have been replaced free by Locitech, which has since quit making them which tell you about their quality). The real cameras that are deterrents have the light on, e.g. the garage one. As for these I’ll just leave the batteries out and use without the lights.

Just put mine in and they look awesomely real! Don’t use the plastic tube-anchors they come with as they’re junk (break easy, fall thru the hole, or spin in place during screwing). Get your own Ribbed or Conical Plastic Anchors!
I left out the batteries during operation. I think the led light is TOO bright and makes it look obviously fake. I’ve never seen such a blinking light on a real security camera. Save the batteries and install WITHOUT them. Looks wonderful!
And make sure to install them where you would put a Real camera. Good placement can make them appear real as well.

UN CONSEJO PARA LOS INTERESADOS Y QUE NO TENGAN QUE ESTAR PENSANDO EN VER SI TIENE BATERIA, YA QUE ES MOLESTO ESTAR SACANDO EL ARTEFACTO DE LA PARED Y TE ESTAN MIRANDO LOS VECINOS CADA TENTO QUE TIENES PROBLEMAS CON LA CAMARA, NO !!
LA ABRO POR DENTRO Y LE SUELDO CON ESTAÑO UN PAR DE CABLES POLARIZADOS, LUEGO LE PERFORO POR UN COSTADO EL PLASTICO Y LLEVO EL MISMO HASTA UN TRANSFORMADOR (QUE USO DE UN CELULAR VIEJO, YA QUE LAS 3 PILAS AA SUMAN 4,5 VOLTS Y UN CARGADOR ENTREGA 5 VOLTS) Y LISTO…LE PONES BATERIAS RECARGABLES Y SI EN ALGÚN MOMENTO SE CORTA LA ENERGÍA, SIGUEN FUNCIONANDO!!
BUENA SUERTE AMIGOS

This is about the diameter of the typical smoke detector. The camera detail through the clear lens is very good. Today I saw a security camera mounted on the side of a retail chain store that looked almost exactly the same.
The manual says that the batteries for the red flashing LED typically last up to 3 months. Some of my real security cameras have LED indicators that can be configured in the software to turn on during access/viewing, turn on continuously, or turn off. None of them flash in a regular pattern so using the flashing LED feature might give it away (would have been better if the red LED could be turned on continuously).
Overall, these artistic details are very minor and this is a useful deterrent for those places where it is impossible to run wires, but you want thieves to wet their pants when they look up and see what might be watching them.

This is a great security camera, it looks like the real thing. suggestion: skip the batteries because we found you don’t really need them. You’ll have to change them frequently otherwise.
