Neewer Has a wide range of products for your production including a teleprompter in a box. This is the X14 with remote and its one of the easiest teleprompters you will ever get to set up and use. It comes with the Neewer remote control for iOS and Android. You have to download the app and install it on your iPad or Android tablet to get going. But once you take it out of the box you can almost immediately use it. Once you rotate the glass up and over it quickly unfolds and the magnets click together to hold the shell open and out of the way of the camera. Put your camera on the rail and tighten it down with the included 1/4 20 screw. Mount your camera plate under the bottom of the teleprompter and add it to your tripod. Place your iPad inside the holder and and you are ready. Now what’s nice about the small remote you can use this to talk to the camera and allows you to run the prompter yourself and speak your script yourself. Its a simple design and light and compact. It can take multiple sizes of tablets. I did find out its max size is an iPad Pro 12.9 with no case( not my favorite thing to do 🙂 ) You may have to adjust the angle of the glass so the entire screen is seen. There are telephone controlled teleprompter apps if you want to be able to run the prompter without being in line of site.. Other options are having a an HDMI output from your iPad or other table and have a screen for yourself as it will be in real time. I like to keep it simple and stay off camera and run the teleprompter
Pros: Small portable
Hard side case ..
Comes with remote (needs AAA batteries.)
Takes various sizes of tablets.
Cons: does not allow iPad Pro 12.9 to be used with a case.

My wife does a fair bit of presenting via video and recording videos for work, and being able to talk naturally while looking straight into the camera really helps to make it feel like she’s connecting with you, rather than needing to keep looking away at her notes.
We already had a much lower cost teleprompter for this exact reason and while it’s been great, this one is much better made and more professional. With this and the video lights I’ve set up for her, it’s starting to feel like a film studio in her office! The results are excellent though and I definitely think it’s worth it to make her look as professional as possible.
It comes in a lovely case, into which it folds really nicely. This is an improvement over the cheap one which wasn’t so easy to put away and has no case so this is far easier to store, transport and set up quickly. In use, you need quite a strong tripod to put it on. The teleprompter itself is fairly hefty and once you add a camera, lens and tablet it’s a fair bit of weight which might be off centre from the middle of the tripod (depending on your camera and tablet) so it’ll need to be up to the job.
The teleprompter app is quite well done. It’s easy to add text to it and to get it displaying on the tablet with no fuss. The remote control works well and has all the important options laid out simply enough that you can use them without having to look at it once you remember which button does what. It’s very easy.
She finds it easy to use. She generally prefers to use it to display short notes rather than a full script since that allows her to talk more naturally than if every single word was written down, but she can still be sure of staying on topic since the basic structure of the presentation is there in front of her. In fact she says it’s easier than just talking to a lens because it gives you a reason to look at it!
The quality of the recordings from the camera is excellent with no sign of the teleprompter text showing through.

It is easy to use and requires no assembly. You need to download the app and install it on your tablet to get going. It is compatible with varity of devices ,including ipads, android tablets, smartphones…etc.
It has a large easy- to -read screen that displays your script as you speak, helping you to stay on track and deliver you message smootly and confidently. It comes with a remote also, you can use it.I can recommend for anyone who needs to give presentations or deliver speeches on camera.

This teleprompter arrives in a really nice looking, Neewer branded, cardboard box that would be more than suitable should you be wishing to give it as a gift.
Inside, all the kit is stored in a very professional looking, hard case with a comfortable carry handle. Its internal foam padding has cut-outs for the prompter, keeping it nice and safe when transporting it around.
The teleprompter is easy to set up and to take back down. It feels very well made and robust, whilst remaining relatively light weight.
The teleprompoter is designed to accommodate a variety of different types of camera, camera sizes, and camera lenses. There are multiple ¼” and 3/8” screw threads along the underside of the main frame, so that you can better positions and balance the teleprompter on your tripod. And the ‘plate’ on which you attach your camera, has a slot along its length, allowing you to mount the camera anywhere along its length to best match it’s size. The hood has a drawstring, which you use to pull it tight around your lens, which again allows it to accommodate a variety of different lens diameters.
The tray is able to accommodate phones and tablets up to a maximum width of 22.1cm. So long as they are narrower than this, you can also place camera monitors, or any other kind of small flat screen display on the tray, should you wish to.
The large beam splitter is nice and clear and does a great job of reflecting the text or image, without interfering with the image quality of the camera that’s shooting through it, in any noticeable way.
In order to use the teleprompter you can use Neewer’s own app. This is available on both the Google Play Store for Android devices and the Apple App Store for iPads and iPhones. This works well and pairs nicely with the supplied remote control. The remote is again well made, and has buttons for play/pause, resize text up and down, and speed up/slow down. It is fast and responsive and allows the reader full control over the teleprompter as they record to camera.
If you don’t wish to use Neewer’s own App, if you search the web, there are several browser plugins, websites, as well as third party software, that do all the things you need in order to use a teleprompter, such as both flipping and rotating the text, and scrolling it at set speeds, etc.
Another feature I liked about this teleprompter is that on either side there is a cold shoe mount and ¼” threaded sockets for attaching mics, lighting, etc. This is a nice touch as it adds a lot more versatility to the kit, without having to carry any additional stands, tripods, etc.
Apart from using the teleprompter for reading a script, or having notes, whilst looking directly into the camera, it also has other uses. By placing a camera monitor on the tray and hooking it up to my camera, I was able to use it as a live view camera monitor, where I could see what the camera was seeing and all my settings, so that I could make sure the lighting and everything else was correct, whilst remaining in situ and looking directly at the lens. This kind of set up could also be used for live streaming.
Also, by hooking up the camera monitor to my computer, rather than the camera, I was able to share my screen and use the teleprompter whilst video conferencing. The image from the camera monitor of all the zoom windows shows up on the beam splitter., and I could see all the participants, whilst looking and talking directly into the lens. From the other person’s point of view, this comes across much more professional, as it looks like you are looking straight at them, rather than off to the side or above//below them, as what happens with normal camera setups.
In conclusion, I really have been impressed by this teleprompter. I was a little sceptical of the price before opening it, but the quality shines through. It is much more robust and better able to accommodate larger cameras than other, cheaper teleprompters I have used, and also has a much larger and better quality beam splitter. It also has some nice added touches, such as the responsive remote, sturdy, professional looking carry case, and additional mounting spots for mics, lighting, etc.
There is also no doubting the results. Being able to present looking directly at the camera (whether it is using it to read from a script, to have notes in front of you to give some structure when speaking without a script, or using it to video conference with other people), comes across so much more professional than constantly looking off to the side does, and takes your videos to another level.

Like the title says. Really a junky product. Gets the job done if you’re desperate.

The teleprompter is good quality for the price. The app works well and is easy to use. The only problem I have had is the remote control button to start and stop the message scrolling is a mechanical button that clicks when depressed. When making a video with a quality microphone close by, it easily picks up the sound of the clicking button. If the button was not mechanical, there would be no click for the microphone to pick up.

I’m honestly surprised as to how well thought out this teleprompter is. The glass they used is very effective at reflecting light back at the subject, and the picture I took of the closed case is through the inside of the teleprompter. It’s easy to see that there’s no reflection or distortion caused by the teleprompter.
The hood closes around the lens quickly and easily to keep all the light out, and they put on a nice long plate so I can move the camera around to accommodate even very large lenses. The 1/4-20 bolt for attaching my camera or adapter plate threads into the rear and slides up the slot so I don’t have to worry about it falling out.
The bottom has 3/8 and 1/4-20 threaded holes all the way down so I can easily get the best balance for my current setup.
When I pulled it out of the case the cold shoe arms weren’t attached and I was worried I’d have to assemble it every time I took it out. It turns out that they cut out the cushioning inside just right so I can keep the whole thing assembled, and just fold it down when I’m ready to pack it up.
The remote is intuitive with text sizing on the left, speed on the right, and play/pause in the middle. It’s easy to operate even when I’m concentrating on more important things. It’s designed to work with your tablet/phone and the Neewer Teleprompter app.
The tablet holder on the front can slide out quite a ways to accommodate even very large tablets, or all the way in to hold onto smaller displays.
Overall an incredible teleprompter.
Highly recommended.

The only problem I have with this is writing the scripts for my videos. I’m using it with a Canon T5 camera. Not the best camera, but if the lighting in the room is good, all is well. You can speed and slow the text. The remote is small and easy to use. Easy to hide so people don’t see it in the video.

This one is simple to set up, unlike some of the other teleprompters I’ve used. If you’re new to using a teleprompter, you might be surprised that it’s a simple mirror trick and you simply position your camera behind the glass while you use a device like an iPad or phone to display the words. I noticed that a little bit of distance between the speaker and the camera achieve the illusion a little bit better than being up close, for authenticity, because it’s ideal not to see the speaker’s eyes reading across the screen. Feels natural with resting eyes.

Narration. Le matériel fonctionne bien par contre j’ai été obligé de perforer la plaque pour insérer la vis. À mon avis la vis devrait déjà être à l’intérieur de la plaque.

Neewer Teleprompter X14 with RT-110 Remote & APP Control
I have to say that I have no experience whatsoever of setting up or using a teleprompter like this. What I will say is that I was surprised by the build quality of this and what you receive when it arrived. When I opened the box I was pleased to find a strong, expensive looking aluminium carry case that holds all the equipment securely inside.
Inside the case you will find the teleprompter, remote control, cleaning cloth and user guide. The telepromter is supplied as a single unit, it is in a folded state when stored inside the case. Just lift the teleprompter from the case and fit to a sturdy tripod. This appears well made and is indeed heavy for it’s size. When secured to a tripod a camera should be mounted on the rear looking through the teleprompter so that the presenter can look at the camera and also read what’s on the display.
Inside the supplied user guide is a link so that an app can be downloaded to your phone, both IOS or Android are supported. Once your phone is paired to the teleprompter the app can be used to enter text where it will then display on the teleprompter for the presenter to read. This would certainly be useful for a team to broadcast or record video, one person can be entering and updating text via the app where the presenter can then read it off the screen.
If you have a use for this then I would say it’s a fantastic bit of kit for the money. Yes £206.99 is a lot of money, but as this has a good size screen and comes with a strong aluminium carry case, I would say it’s worth it.
