Top!

Used with a Manfrotto tripod and a GVM motorized 1 meter long slider. with Panasonic GH5 on top. Perfect performance, easy to just pick up and reposition the whole rig. Rock solid.

These support arms are a great addition to your kit if you use a slider and want to use a single tripod.

Depending on your tripod, it may be possible to “semi-permanently” mount these arms. I would suggest making a support bracket for the “top” of the arm if you plan to store these on your tripod legs as the ball-and-socket mounts are not the most hardcore / rigid mounting arrangement possible.

When deployed and setup with a little bit of “preloading” on a slider, these arms will add a great deal of rigidity to your setup, effectively eliminating “droop” at both edges of the slider movement.

These are quite solid stabilizer arms. Perfect for when you are trying to mount your slider on a single tripod. You just need to make sure that on the underneath of your slider that you have 1/4 20 mounting holes. If you don’t then you will need to purchase a couple more of the clamps similar to what is included in this package. So one end screws into the underside of your slider and the other end of the arms clamps onto the legs of your tripod.

The arms are made of metal which was good to see. With the Neewer name I was afraid they would be plastic. The included ball heads and clamps that you can get for under $10 a piece on Amazon. Meaning they will work but they are pretty cheap. In fact you can find a pair of the clamps similar to what is included here for $15. The you have a telescoping arm that goes from about 24 inches all the way out to about 38 inches.

The problem here is the price tag. Now this isn’t really a slam on Neewer. For whatever reason everyone that sells a kit like this charge around $80. But since these are designed for such a specific purpose that can charge a bit more for what are basically very budget parts. That being said if you are ok with the price, and honestly there aren’t really any cheaper options available on Amazon outside of you purchasing the separate parts yourself and rigging something together, then these actually work quite well. Probably one of the better set of stabilizer arms I’ve seen.

I usually in studio use a huge camera stand but when on location on a solid tripod you really need these supports, they make all the difference, it doesn’t matter how strong your tripod (I Use a large Gitzo) the supports keep it from any flex or movement whatsoever. Neewer keeps impressing me with its products.

I really like my automated rail when shooting time lapse videos, but with a heavy DSLR traveling way out on that rail puts a lot of stress on my tripod head. I’ve noticed some slipping. If the head slips too much, down comes the rail. And camera. And lens. These supports are the perfect solution.

There’s two rods, each with one telescoping section. Both ends are identical – a 1/4-20 thread and small ball head. One end screws into a clamp, the other to the base of one end of the rail. The clamp attaches to a tripod leg. It’s a simple solution and it works.

There’s no plastic in sight. Everything is anodized aluminum and it feels really sturdy. Plus, if you use a bag for your tripod, you can drop these in there as well. These actually fit in the case for my rail.

If you use a rail/track with mounting holes for supports, get these. They’ll save you a lot of worry – and prevent a possible disaster.

Arms are great for stabilizing a tripod with a heavy load on it, such as a camera slider. There are lots of options for different mounting positions and angles as well so it should work well with a variety of different tripods.
If you’re bringing this much gear around that you need it stabilized these should easily fit into a bag with everything else and shouldn’t add much if any extra bulk/weight.

These supports are sturdy enough to get the job done without compromising stability. The parts function well. Extending the arms is smooth and the extension locks grip tightly. The clamps open wide enough to easily grip onto even my biggest tripod meant for mounting a jib crane with equipment (80 lb capacity).

The mini ball heads on either are strong enough to hold their intended load and they have good-sized head lock “knobs” which are big enough so that you won’t fumble with them.

These arms and their components could be made even stronger, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Instructions are included, but it’s simple enough to figure out without any instructions at all. If you want to stabilize your slider on a tripod, this is a good way to do it.

The “Camera Slider Support Arms” as I anticipated are excellent!
Neewer always stand by their product integrity, always over and above a typical consumer warranty.
I have loads of Neewer products in my kit, all A1 quality, durability and value for money.

I’ve never been disappointed with any of my Neewer purchases. Fit and finish is always good. Functionality is always good. Good materials used. If you’re going to use a 48″ slider on a single tripod, you’re going to need stabilization arms. No question. All parts, the ball heads, clamps, extension tubes, twist locks are all good quality on these arms. I just ordered the Neewer tabletop tripod and I’m not expecting my opinion to change about Neewer products.
