The 5* is for the product quality and quantity in relation to price. There is nothing wrong with the product itself, great price for two good stands. At full extension they can be a little wobbly, but that would be the case for any stand for anything.
Waaaay to much packaging, there were four cardboard boxes, lots of paper wrapping and then plastic wrapping to get through until you reached the actual product. It’s a sad waste of cardboard and plastic.

I use these for pocket size RGB lights and they work great!. I have used them outside with a medium sized light box. If doing that sand bags are a must. Mine stood up to some decent winds. I was surprised it didn’t fold it in half. I use these about once a month so they don’t see a ton of use and its mainly indoors.

Even though these stands may be light and can fall easily if bumped into. That’s why I have sand bag weights. I like the light weight as I shoot a lot outdoors and use these for my reflectors of for an untethered flash. If I had a studio I would pass on these unless you use them mainly for reflectors and light blocking.

Can’t complain, great oair and I got lucky that i got tgem on sale which was even better.
Steve Moore –
Very misleading headline for buyers. These are really thin lightweight light stands and not the heavy-duty they are described. I’ll keep them for training stuff but can’t use them for weddings at all.
Andrew Miller Photography –
Far too lightweight for anything other than a v small LED lamp. It is not strong enough to hold anything vaguely substantial and won’t start up. … which gets looser and worse the more you use it. Don’t waste your cash. I have plenty of Neewer equipment but this just isn’t up to the job. Would return if I could.

I needed two very lightweight light stands that could be carried on public transport for a shoot. The Newers were the lightest and smallest folding I could find. Previously I’ve had more heavyweight Lishuai stands.
So fold up small, very light and easy to set up if using smallish lights. The supplied camera bags are a joke and both split on first use. These are just a gimmick to make you think you will save money on bags, you won’t so dont use the “free bag” as a reason to purchase.
Have used the stands around a dozen times, one has already broken with one of the section collars no longer gripping so that stand can’t be extended to full height.
They were cheap, did the job I needed them for but when I have some spare cash will be replacing with something from Manfrotto.
If you are a light user (excuse the pun) and not lugging the stands around too much they maybe for you, otherwise don’t expect them to last too long. My Lishuai stand is 7 years old and in fine working order but flippin heavy.

Great for the price. Only complaint is that they are so lightweight I fear them getting knocked over. We shot a wedding and zip-tied hand weights to the bottom of them to hold them down. Great product though.
K. Shipley –
These are great. I bought them to hold shoe-type flash units. They’re very light weight and seem reasonably well built. Exactly what I was looking for.
If you’re looking for something to hold up studio strobes with soft boxes and the like or you need something that will get daily use, up and down for years, you should probably go with something sturdier. But for occasional light use, can’t beat these for the price.
A note on the carrying bags. Both stands came with a carrying bag. They also came with a plastic shipping bag and a cardboard shipping box. All went immediately into the trash/recycling bins. Each as disposable as the others.

Esta bien para una luz led pequeña,
pero no confÃo en poner un flash costoso y menos con un modificador de luz.

These light stands offer fantastic value for money. As with all Neewer products they are well made but on a budget. These will take a lot of wear and are very sturdy even holding a large Neewer light box.

These two stands are great for the price! Easy extension, and well-designed tops. Leg extensions are secure and very easy to adjust. Leg spread is adjustable and also secure.
I bought these for use with some new LED Fill Lights ( https://amzn.to/2JIAHz0 ) and the result is perfect!
Highly recommended. Good product, GREAT price for the pair!!

This is my second set that I have. I use them for lighting in my studio and they work great and are very lightweight.
