I have many Neewer video and lighting accessories and I have been very happy with the quality and value of products from this company. This mini slider is no exception. It’s got an excellent built quality for the price, with smooth carbon fiber rails. It has feet that fold out so you can use it on the ground, or you can mount it on a tripod. It comes with a nice zippered nylon carrying case so it can neatly be transported and stored when not in use. This is an excellent tool to have to get smooth sliding shots with a smartphone or a light mirrorless camera. If you have a heavier DSLR rig then you’d need to step up to a heavier duty rig, but for light cameras this is perfect. Well worth the money!

Nice trolley that I’m adapting to use for a golf simulator. Works great and allows for easy adjustments

You get what you pay for, but this slider is very usable. The materials aren’t the sturdiest out there, but if it’s a little stiff, loosen some screws, put some oil on it and many other workarounds. If you’re on a budget and in need of a slider. This one’s for you

This is incredibly useful and well made.
Made from carbon fibre and stainless steel it is light and functional and very easy to use.
It slides faultlessly and and is a handy size to carry to location
My OH has used a lot of professional dolly rails in his work and says, as a small dolly, this one is remarkable in design and workmanship and at a good price

As an ugly American, I didn’t realize that that 1 kilogram, which is the recommend maximum payload for this slider, is only 2.2 lbs–my mistake. While the photos show the slider in use with a mirrorless camera and an I-phone, it’s not really suitable for most mirrorless camera setups (my FX3 in a Smallrig cage is way too heavy). For an I-phone or a GoPro, this slider works very well. It provides a really smooth movement, is lightweight (thanks to the carbon fiber rails) and is large enough to have a decent range of movement while small enough to toss in a backback. The overall quality is up to Neewer’s standards, which consistently provides products of a quality that exceed their price. While I can’t recommend for mirrorless camera use, if you are looking for a slider for an I-ohine or GoPro, I highly recommend.

This has worked really well so far for me and it’s clearly a pretty good slider for anyone starting out. It took some practice moving it at a consistent pace, but once I got the hang of it, it made for some very nice shots. I do feel that for heavier cameras, it might be worth investing in something with a another sliding mechanism, but for my smaller ones it worked fine.
The option to adjust the feet to make sure it’s level or even to purposely put it at and angle is a nice additional convenience. The different configurations for them add a dash of flexibility to this that is a welcome addition.
Overall it’s a great place to start and can come in handy in lots of photo taking scenarios.

I am seriously so excited about this slider… It’s for a SMARTPHONE as opposed to a standard DSLR. I have never seen something like this before, so I was floored when I first stumbled onto it. It even comes with a little carrying case, which I’m pumped about.
The slider speed is easy to adjust and the piece itself comes ALMOST entirely assembled. A phone mount comes with the slider, which is great, and it’s super easy to pop your phone in and out.
When filming, this slider gives you a super smooth pan shot quite easily. This is perfect for creating any user-generated content (UGC) and social media content. The craftsmanship on this product is wonderful – a truly great quality product that feels both stable and sturdy. I love the cinematic options this opens up!

This slide has been a staple for taking product videos and photos for work. The motion is very smooth it’s easy to stow with the little carrying bag which comes with it.

Neewer makes some really fun things for photographers at a lower price point than the big brands. This little slider is so much fun and is great for product photography/videography. It’s sturdy but lightweight and easily packs up in its convenient bag for storage. The 2.2 lb limit eliminates use with SLRs but most people shoot with their phones these days anyway.
I love it and recommend.

I tried to set up with the lightest gear available that’s still within the written maximum lbs. it is simply not smooth once you place a camera. I can see phone or super small/light weighted camera rig might work.

This is a very well made and engineered product, but I am not sure just how useful it is, the main limitation for me is the length 40cm, which is only 15″, and I am just not sure how many applications there are for a dolly rail of that length.
I tried using it with my Motorola phone, but because the camera has quite a wide field of view the image didn’t actually change that much from one end of the rail to the other, unless you are filming something very close to it. The lack of a motor also means that although the action of the slider is very smooth, I still found it difficult to achieve a smooth constant speed.
I am quite surprised at the number of options and features there are, the friction between the dolly and the rails can be altered, there are all sorts of adjustments that can be made and options for different accessories to be attached. As such I think that its price of £59.99 (at the time of writing) is fully justified, but you would need a specific application, it isn’t the sort of thing that most people would use every day.
