good little case

This is a solid, neat, and colorful case for batteries and memory cards. It is a little heavy, but that probably is a reflection of the batteries contained within. Memory cards fit snugly with little fear that they will fall out. The batteries also fit snugly and securely which gives rise to the only question I have about this case. I have Canon batteries in the case, but without their mustard colored trays. will the batteries, intimately in contact with the plush lining, self-discharge more quickly? If the battery pocket were sized to accept the battery in its tray, I would be willing to give the fifth star. I won’t really know until I have used the case for a while, so until then I will use it pleased with it s other good qualities I almost bought the Pelican equivalent, but have no real regrets.

Well made and looks bullet proof, but the downside is that the box is therefore quite heavy, which isn’t ideal as it adds weight to my already heavy camera bag. A lighter plastic version would have been adequate for the job, but if you really need something that will survive being driven over in a car it would be ideal.

As advertised, great.

This small(ish) case will carry two camera batteries and your memory cards (in my case four SD cards but other options are available for compact flash and the like).
It looks great and is built to a good standard but the “locking” clasp is far too loose! When the case is full the clasp often opens itself due to movement or easily being caught by something external. I was carrying this with the belt attachment and twice the case opened just by the clasp being caught slightly against my jacket or jeans….the result bring the batteries falling out.
There are generally good reviews on this case – maybe I got a faulty unit (however at least one other reviewer here has mentioned about the loose locking clasp). It’s a shame as its a great case – I like the design, the quality and even the internal layout. Personally I have resorted to using an elastic band around the outside of the case to keep it closed (which almost defeats the purpose of having a locking case).
It is still good quality but I was really disappointed with the loose clasp. Maybe I have just been unlucky and received a unit that snuck past quality control. Considering the relatively low cost it maybe worth buying one and hoping you get a more secure case than I did.

The Sony NP-FZ100 batteries currently powering the A7III, A7RIII, A7RIV, A9, A9II, and A6600 do NOT fit. You can force it closed but it won’t seal because the FZ100 batteries are about 2mm too thick and this leaves a gap about that wide on each end of the case. If you don’t care about it being water tight then it will hold them.
But the whole point for me was the water resistance so I returned this case. On a positive note the case is very well made and feels high quality. Also be aware the rubber lining is red not orange like the picture. If you were hoping for the lining to match Sony Alpha orange then you will be disappointed.
I did not test this with any other camera brand’s batteries as the Sony FZ100 batteries were all I had on hand.

The latch doesn’t hold as well… but I don’t have the box and would not be fair to return without its box. It feels nice to be able to carry two additional batteries and additional SD cards in one case, however, it is heavier and bulky nevertheless. I took it to a recent trip and unfortunately the latch opened a couple of times without any effort, while in my backpack. I have a small bungee strap and will use this as a precaution latch the next time I use the case. I would think twice buying this particular item, however, I may have been an unlucky buyer.

This is super durable! Holds exactly the amount of sd cards I needed + the extra battery holding slots were amazing. It just really helped me get organized and not feel like a mess when searching for things in my bag in the middle of a shoot.

Wanted something to store extra batteries and memory cards for my D7500 and decided to roll the dice on this. Prior to delivery, I was worried it would be cheap and flimsy, but hey, NBD at a price this low.
And man was I pleasantly surprised. This container is heavy duty and versatile. It has a very nice weight to it and snaps tightly shut. The balance between storage capability and small size is perfect. I tossed this in my camera backpack and went on my way. Also made it very easy for me to separate any batteries from my camera equipment in case TSA wanted to double check.
Overall, very pleased with this case and can recommend it with confidence.

Haven’t tried any test drops but seems very solid. Single clip to keep closed is a bit suspect, so might add a band. The contents are a tight fit and do not drop out…usually. It is a bit bulky – however I can use this to hold enough batteries and cards for a day shoot, although will still have a couple of spares in main camera bag just in case.

This is perfect for my spare EN-EL 15 batterys for my D7500, a really strong well made box at a great price. Comes with a small carabiner to clip it to your bag or belt loop which i won’t be using as it is slim enough to slip into the front of my bag.

Here’s my use case: I’m shooting an R5. I want a single case for travel that can hold two Canon LP-E6NH batteries, a couple CFexpress cards, legacy SDXC cards, and some microSD cards for my drone. My CFexpress cards have a much higher capacity (512GB) so I need fewer slots for those than my lower capacity SDXC cards (64GB). There aren’t many options that accommodate batteries and memory cards. Of all the cases I looked at, this design was the closest to perfect.
My first impression was not good. I removed the product from the box and found it both scratched and scuffed. I’m the type that cares about stuff like this. (Wish I didn’t.) I asked for an exchange. The replacement arrived in better condition—no scratches, fewer scuffs. The scratched up metallic gold accents on the exterior of the case are stickers. They were neither straight nor firmly adhered to the replacement case. This made them easy to remove. I think the case looks much better without them so I was thankful that the person in charge of attaching them didn’t care enough to do a good job.
In both the first and replacement cases, the red inserts were not fully inserted behind the small black plastic tabs meant to hold them in place. That’s easy enough to fix but another reminder that the people putting these together are more worried about speed than precision. These red inserts are some type of rubber-like material with less flex and give than the high quality dense foam found in, for example, my Pelican memory card case. The hinges are a thin ABS material rather than metal. I don’t know if they’d survive a fall but I don’t expect them to fail in normal use. The same is true of the square loop at the top of the case. It seems fairly fragile. I’ll never use this so I would be happy if it weren’t there at all. I’m considering introducing it to my Dremel.
I doubt the case is waterproof. I’m not going to test it. However, there is a small groove in the lower rubber insert into which the top lid fits. This will make it difficult for water or dust to penetrate in any scenario short of immersion.
The case is designed to hold a number of different battery types. LP-E6 batteries fit in snugly without the yellow tray that snaps on to the back of them. They don’t fit with the tray attached. This is not a problem for me. Another reviewer worried that the red insert might be conductive. It is not. Everything is perfectly safe. While the case does fit LP-E6 batteries snugly side-to-side, the battery compartment will accommodate slightly taller batteries. As a result, you will feel slight movement if you shake the case while closed. Again, this doesn’t bother me. If it bothers you, four slices of cheap, open-cell foam are included with the case to fill the excess space and provide a snug fit. The foam slices were already disintegrating when I opened the case so my strong suggestion would be to throw these things away before a little chunk of foam ends up where it shouldn’t.
When it comes to the memory cards, the fit was excellent for the CFexpress cards and excellent for the SDXC cards. The slots are tight enough to hold the cards in place without putting excess pressure on them. However, things are not as good with the microSD card slots. The microSD cards don’t fit well. They stick up above their allotted space, which affects the fit of the SDXC cards that sit above them. This is a shame given how well everything else fits. I think I’ll probably leave these empty and fill the SD card slots with microSD cards in their adapters. The Samsung model I use is just as fast as a normal SD anyway.
The bottom line is that I think this product will work well for my use case and I recommend it to others who have similar needs—particularly other R5 shooters. I wish it offered the fit and finish of my Pelican case but at the asking price the stakes aren’t particularly high.

I love this. This fits my carry style very well… All in one place and quick access to media cards and batteries and fit perfectly into a small opening in my camera cube.
I had made/modified something similar for my RP, but it was not as secure as this option.
This is a no brainer. Very secure carry (won’t pop open). It’s water proof. And the batteries and cards fit snug in their spots.
My only gripe, is that occasionally a card for come out of its spot…but this is not a big deal.
