This light is good but sometimes it is too bright.
SoCal –
I have purchased at least four different variations of lights for my home office. I am on video conferences all day long and my desk isn’t near a bright window. Nothing seemed to work until this. Save your money, unlike what I did, and make sure you know what you need. Problems with other lights to consider: 1/ Glasses – I wear glasses sometimes and the ring lights reflect in my glasses as rings in the video and people always comment on “do you have a ring light?” 2/ Hard on the eyes – The ones that have attached to my monitor were WAY too bright in your face and on your eyes…because you’re always looking directly at it. I bought a really fancy gamin light, but when I got it, I found out it is preset on bright white, and in order to change it, you have to download special software AND it has to be able to attach to a specific wifi router in your home. 3/ Brightness – For zoom, it doesn’t have to be BRIGHT white. I don’t know about gaming. SUMMARY: THIS light is perfect. I bought two for even lighting and they’re on either side of my monitor at the same height and same hue/brightness. (which is easily adjustable, as well as the height) RESULTS: Now I look “normal” with the slightly more golden hue instead of bright white. It never hurts my eyes, even after all day long. My glasses don’t reflect them. I’m not staring right at them all day. I don’t look like a pale ghost. Winner! (Definitely cheaper than the really expensive, fancy gaming light.)

I’ll give it that the lighting is decent, and having the 3 color temperatures is a nice touch(Though why this function is on a smoothly spinning dial is beyond me). The base is stable and the extendable arm has been solid so far.
As for removing half of the stars; the dimming functionality makes the most audible whine I’ve heard in any light. Google would suggest this is due to quality parts or potentially loose wiring. I have resigned to using only the brightest settings(Which are silent) and adjusting the angle of the lamp to compensate as I would rather have this light than my previous lack thereof in this space. Another issue with the design of this product would be the lack of a power converter for the usb connection but that was not something promised us and the fast charging brick for my phone can supply greater than the 8W(@5V) required when necessary to use a regular outlet.
I hope for others’ sake that this electrical issue was an anomaly and not the norm, good luck.

I was excited but finally very unhappy with this light.
It’s uneven, lacks brightness and constantly flickers!

I wasn’t too sure, for the cost as there are other smaller units that have worked for me in the past. However, this puts all of them to shame! It’s ease of use it’s coverage, and especially with zoom meetings. It has changed how people see me and we are ordering more for my teams. Another highlight is the retractable stand that can add height, and the pivot of the light which will give me the right angles. We like it!

Overall a great product, the only issues I have are when adjusting the temperature it will flicker between cooler and warmer tones on the 45%-55% zone. No other issues I’ve encountered yet.

I needed a more front fill light for my zoom calls, I have a couple of video lights to the left and right but needed to fill more straight on. This does the job but has to be at full bright to compete with my other lights at 20%. color tuning is not bad, you can get it about right. it does NOT come with a power adapter. only a 3 foot long USBC to USBA cable. so be prepared to have to find a USB power brick.
I like it as it doesnt have a silly remote or silly soft buttons you have to push. you set it flip the old fashioned switch and let it turn on and off with your switchable outlet. If it was a little brighter it would be perfect. but at this cheap of a price for a about 6″ wide light with a stand that can easily get above a 37″ monitor get 2 or more of them and call it a day.

I LOVE this light so much I bought a second one and might buy two more! First – it is really almost perfect for most of my needs. I do daily videos on my podcast (The Boozebuddy Update) and this casts a nice light that isn’t harsh – even when fairly bright. I like the brightness range (from fairly dim to very bright) and the ability to change the color temperature. These worked quite well to light up the green screen behind me (what I originally bought these for) but I ended up moving them to my desk because it wasn’t harsh to look at as my existing light source. So I ended up using another of those lights for the green screen.
The only two issues I have? I would like some way of knowing the color temperature & brightness levels, and I wish the wheels offered some resistance. I occasionally bump one of the wheels when turning them on, and then have to readjust. It’s very easy to approximate just based on my eye – but I do wish there was a measurement to make sure I could always set it back to a specific default.
