What cab I say, the go pros just get better and better. The quality is unmatched as is the versatility and the built in functions like the stabilization are PERFECT. If you never jad one get one. Put it on the dog, the cat, the bike, the motorcycle, the fishing rod the scuba mask, the boat, the drone, ..you get the picture.

The product itself is great.
I had purchased brand new units (sold and shipped by Amazon) for myself and one for my wife.
The 2nd one I received was received exactly as shown in the pictures I took. Not the original packaging, fingerprints all over the unit and accessories. Scuff marks all over the Volta. Everything in the carrying case came exactly as shown in the picture…all over the place.
Unacceptable and already submitted for refund.

I finally took the plunge after all these years by getting the Hero 11, and I’m happy to say that I’m not disappointed.
The ability to record at high resolution is great.
The ability to configure for frame rate, resolution, image field, and multiple other customizations is almost dizzying with how many ways to adjust it.
I have alreay used it for one video of myself (using the head strap) successfully hunting a coyote.
The picture quality is excellent, and it captured the entire hunt just as I had hoped.
I have since learned that there is a preset that allows less of the “fisheye” effect when recording, so I have switched to that for most of my purposes.
Using that setting, I am able to get about 75 minutes of uninterrupted recording time, and operating at this setting makes the video much less distorted at the (no big deal for the style of recording that I want) expense of a narrower field of view.
Some things to know about the GoPro (or other action cameras) is that this type of camera can be susecptible to overheating, especially at max resolution and frame rate, with the camera moving (image stabilization working hard), and with poor or no air flow to cool the camera.
I have not had any of those problems, but then I have been using mine in cooler climate and with moderate frame rate and resolution, but I wanted to inform anyone apprehensive about overheating that there are some ways to avoid that issue.
I have researched the overheating issue, and here are some ways to avoid it:
1) Use the camera with good air flow or in a cooler environment.
2) If possible, run at a more moderate frame rate and resolution.
3) If in a very hot or poorly ventilated environment, don’t run for long periods, as action cameras are mostly intended for videos of about ten minutes at a time.
4) This one is often overlooked, but a major way to help avoid overheating is to use the recommended class (speed) of microSD card that allows the camera to record with the microSD card able to keep up with the large volume of data being written to it, with GoPro recommending a U3 card.
It’s tough to go into all the attributes of what makes a genuine GoPro so popular, but to summarize the basics for of you who don’t already know:
1) This is a very rugged piece of gear, with the bare camera (there are hard cases that allow considerably greater waterproof ratings) waterproof down to 33 feet.
2) The camera can operate at various resolutions and frame rates, allowing both time lapse and slow motion video.
3) It has replaceable batteries, so you can keep spares on hand for long recording sessions.
4) The lens defaults to an extremely wide angle view particularly useful for capturing events with fast-moving action or for capturing movement going nearly horizon to horizon; but (as mentioned above) the angle can be adjusted more narrowly for less of the “fisheye” inherent with wide angle lenses.
5) The camera body is ruggedized, and it has an integral folding mounting bracket to allow the camera to be attached to one of the huge number of systems that allow the camera to be worn on a hat, on the head via a strap, onto the chest, onto a tripod, to a gimbal, or to just about any other system that can be adapted to the now ubiquitous GoPro mounting system.
Yes, this is an expensive piece of gear, but quality often comes with a bit more money spent, and I’m very satisfied with it.
Two upgrades to this camera that I would recommend are to get a remote for it (GoPro makes one, but there are third party ones as well) and a silicon lens cover because.
The lens covers available are held on by friction, and it’s a bit of a mystery why GoPro doesn’t include one.
The main reason that I find the remote a worthy purchase is because it’s particularly useful when having the camera mounted where it’s difficult to activate and be certain that it’s recording, and the remote will power the camera on without having to touch it, start recording with a second press of one of the buttons on the remote, and show the battery charge level of the camera and the time of recording.

This is it! This is the one. ????????

The GoPro 11 has lots of wonderful features that we’re all familiar with, but it fails miserably in lower light conditions. Seems to me it’s not meant for anything beyond outdoor bright sunlight. Also not compatible with some editing systems unless a conversion app is used. Had to return it!

Had the camera for three weeks, had major issues with the software and then the camera (turned off) went into “Thermal Runaway” where the battery heats up “on its own”! I contacted GoPro support and they said they were going to send me a new battery (two weeks later and still hasn’t arrived!). Yesterday I took the camera out for some photos, but it wouldn’t turn on, came back home and placed it on the charger, and it won’t even charge! Thankfully It’s within the return window as it’s going back… What a piece of junk… Do NOT buy.

Wow! I’ve always wanted a GoPro to tale adventures with but I did not know it was going to be this amazing! The picture quality is on point, the image stabilization is super impressive and the GoPro app makes content transfer to your phone seamless! I should have gotten it sooner! You should get this!

Awesome kit! It has all that you need to get creative! Really like the package content coz finally someone had the same idea of putting together what most would look for and end up buying separately. This made the purchase a lot easier or simpler. You might want to buy extra enduro batteries if not using the recharagle power bank tripod stick and possibly the 3way extindible stick. Had the previous version and I used that accessory the most. Also suggest buying screen and lens protector. Comes with bigger case to hold everything too. Good on Gopro peeps. Price wise you pay for quality and for what I received in the kit I’d say its fair price. Gopro hero 11 best of class so far! Creative kit highly recommended, get one and start capturing your adventure and your moments!

I bought Go pro 9 on amazon and love every bit of it. Out of excitement, I ordered Go Pro 11 and to my supprise, it is overheating and shutting off at every slight moment. I don’t know what the issue is. I was able to record 45 minutes of video with no problem with go pro 9, I can hardly record 10 minutes of video with Pro 11. Also the charging of the battery is extremely low.
It also has glares when you point it at the sun. These and many more issues is what made me conclude that this is a defective unit. Will give it a try again if Go Pro can stabilize this new version. I love the touch screen but the main issue for me is overheating and battery not holding stable charge.

The media could not be loaded.
Purchased two of these cameras and immediately noticed differences. The power button on one has a clear tactile feedback and click and the other does not. Even the second button has slightly different sound and feel. Its very hard to describe but you can hear it in the video. For this kind of money, they should be identical.
STUFF –
I wanted to love this camera, however, I’m unable to. There are a couple of things that I would say I dislike and a few things that I liked. So, let’s start with my dislikes.
1. Low Light quality is horrible. It looks pretty bad, which is to be expected from such a small sensor I guess, but I was hoping it had gotten better. If you’re mostly going to shoot during the daytime or with good lighting, then you’ll get some very nice video, but at night this thing is just very muddy.
2. Design. Not so much the camera itself but the accessories. Mostly talking about the Media mod you’ll most probably end up wanting to get for this camera. It’s cool that you can close the little mounting legs on the camera to create a flush bottom so that you can easily insert it into the Media Mod. It is NOT cool that you have to then unfold the little mounting legs from the camera in order to mount the media mod.
Instead of having it’s own legs, the media mod has a whole so that you can us the legs from the camera itself. Which means that if your battery runs out and you need to replace it, you have to unhook the whole thing from whatever mount you had it on, then you have to close the camera’s mount legs, slide the camera out, change whatever it is you need to change, slide the camera back in, open the legs again and mount it back.
I mean, it’s not difficult, but it IS annoying, especially when it would have been so simple to just give the media mod it’s own mounting legs. I put this as part of the review for the camera because the media mod is something a lot of people will eventually want and they should know this ahead of time.
3. In the short time that I used it, the camera froze up on me while recording twice. I’ll be recording something and then I click the button to stop and it won’t stop. There is absolutely no way to force it to restart either, other than pulling out the battery. So once again if you have the media mod on, you have to undo the mount, close the legs, pull out the camera, take out the battery and so on.
Whenever you take out a battery from a camera that’s recording, there is a very good chance that you’ll ruin the file you were recording.
This for me is the reason why I’m really thinking of returning this camera. The other issues I can deal with, but this makes me not trust it.
4. Battery life is pretty weak, it may be great compared to other gopros but I was not impressed.
5. Maybe there is a setting somewhere that I missed, but I hate that in order to power it off, I had to press and old the power button. Simply pressing it would switch me to the next mode. Not a big deal, I just kept forgetting and switching modes when I really wanted to turn it off.
Things I like:
There is a lot to like about this camera.
1. Video Quality is great when you have good lighting.
2. Video Stabilization is absolutely amazing on this thing.
3. I love the fact that I can press the record button when the camera is off and it’ll start up and be recording right away. Press the button again and it’ll stop recording and power itself off.
4. I like the little front screen and the fact that I can have the back screen turned off quickly so that I’m not wasting that much battery while vlogging.
5. I love the idea of the Media Mod, although I strongly believe they messed up on the mount.
Overall, great camera if I could trust it, my real issue with it is my issue number 3, can’t trust it.
