I had a GoPro 4 silver which was a good camera but it had its limitations I think the GoPro 7 black is a huge upgrade and the image stability picture quality and all around camera design and menu setup is amazing the things that I don’t like about the GoPro 7 is that it’s not great with low light you get a lot of graininess that would be probably my only gripe with this camera one of the other things is the 4K 60 frames per second I don’t believe is a true 4K 60 frames per second because when I produce video with it and I export it when you blow it up it breaks up very easily unlike a DSLR or a mirrorless prosumer camera if you’re looking for better low-light quality I’d go with the GoPro 8 black but if you’re going to be filming mostly in the day with good lighting conditions the GoPro 7 black is the way to go it’s a great budget camera and I can tell you I’ve done some amazing work with this camera it’s a perfect starter camera for a kid if you want to get some kids into filming or taking pictures it’s a great little camera to put in your pocket and just go wherever..I highly recommend this camera for the traveler or first-time camera buyer that wants to take film and photos and have it be very convenient for them this camera has a ton of utilities and functions that naked worth its price point.
And by the way I do professional video production so I know the review I’m giving this camera is fair and should be helpful to anyone that is considering this camera.

Bought this as a package, the Hero 7, memory cards, and spare batteries. All worked as advertised. This was my first GoPro, or action camera in general. Must say I am extremely pleased with the video I’ve shot thus far. Crystal clear HD (I shoot 1080p, though you could use 4k). The optical stabilizer is superb, barely any camera shake or movement at all. Unit is very user friendly, but I did watch a few YouTube vids as an assist (probably unnecessary). Completed footage was easy to transfer to PC. Just use the USB cord to connect. Or you could remove the memory card, and attach directly. However, if you have Windows 10, you might need to add an HEVC video extension, in order for it to play. I had to do this, it was simple, and took just a few minutes. As many note, battery life is not great. I bought a separate charger, so I could have backups ready as needed. Otherwise, you have to use the camera to charge. Excellent purchase, would highly recommend.

I graduated from the Apeman A80 to the YI 4K action camera. I realized after purchasing the YI how poor the video quality was on the Apeman. By the way, where or why can’t you buy a new YI 4K these days? I got a fantastic price when I bought it, and it compares favorably to the Go pros but the Go Pro is still a level above. The Go Pro Hero Black 7 has been a fantastic action camera for me with sharp video and good color saturation. I don’t do anything fancy with it but keep it on quick capture for when I’m fishing and have just activated the voice control which works without a hitch. I’ve had no issues with it, and may buy another for some underwater fishing shots when I can figure the best way to make a mount for it. It’s been all good for me.

I have been using GoPro Hero 7 black since 2019. It came with two Stock GoPro Batteries + Sandisk Extreme 64GB MicroSD + 16GB MicroSD Card.
    Pros and Cons:

You can take video at 4K up to 60 fps with stabilization, 2.7K videos 24 to 60 fps stabilization, and up to 120, 240 fps without stabilization. Time lapse photos and videos in 4K and 1080. The videos are super stabilized. It is waterproof. Color temperature controlled. Decent touchscreen.
Photography wise it’s not that good. Night time videos and photos are not that good either although it has higher ISO options. With time lapse you don’t have any controlled ISO option though. So, do your time lapse only if you enough light source available.

Another major downfall is it’s battery life. One GoPro battery lasts max 45-50 mins or less with continuous shooting. So, if you have plans to go somewhere and video with this guy you should consider buying enough battery packs and also multiple charger to charge all the batteries at a time. It takes about 1.5 hr for full charge.
Sometimes, the screen also freeze. It doesn’t allow to switch between the video>photo>timeLapse options.
Sometimes, it starts recording just after opening it. Annoying.
Anyway, also you have to buy some GoPro kit with it, since it doesn’t come with any handheld gear or stabilizing material. Hope this would help.
