Let me preface this by noting I have used the Godox X1Ts extensively, and now this Xpro-S for almost a month now, and I must say the upgrade was worth it.

I have been using this on a Sony A7R3 as well as a Sony a6300, and it works great. Compared to the X1T, this has a much larger screen, easier to access buttons, and the operation is a little simpler. What I also like is that when I adapted my old larger Canon lenses, the X1T wouldn’t allow all the lenses to fit due to the overhang on the X1T, however since the XPro trigger is angled up, I was able to use my larger adapted lenses without issue.

I paired this up with the Godox 350, 685 as well as a FP400 and had no issues with triggering. Out of about 500 shots in a session, I had two misfires but one might have been me and the power settings I had on my FP400. I tested both TTL as well as manual and HSS and it was very consistent and reliable. The only thing I think might need a little work is the battery indicator seems to be only accurate for alkaline cells, but for me it isn’t a big deal at all. My fully charged niMh batteries indicated half, but my full alkaline cells showed accurately.

For the value for the money, this is a no-brainer if you want a good and reliable trigger.

I bought the Godox 860 III SI flash and then the X-Pro S so I could fire my flash remotely. Very versatile and has a huge amount of options and can handle several teams at the same time. Simple and clear handling. It works perfectly with my Sony a7 III. Excellent purchase decision. Highly recommended.

At first I was intimidated by this controller, but I learned how to use all the functions in no time. Controlling multiple flashes, high speed sync, and even strobe are simple to set up. It even works with my neewer speed light.

Okay, so I have to tell a bit of back story to help you understand why I love this trigger. I started off in years gone by with the Cactus v5 wireless system. They reliably triggered my flashes with a basic wireless signal, when they weren’t broken… Each flash still had to be controlled manually though. I moved from the Cactus triggers to the Youngnuo system because of integrated receivers built in to the flashes, and the functional navigation (and maybe a slight increase in build quality). I could now control my flash settings without running over to each flash and causing a scene. The Youngnuo’s were great for remote manual flash adjustments, but were still missing a few things that really complete a system. Once Godox came on the scene with a similar wireless system that supported TTL and HSS, I had to switch. This was the wireless system I was waiting for. I loved everything about the Godox system except for the X1s trigger. It had a cumbersome navigation that was completely different from my standard flashes. When you’re shooting portraits and have a couple standing in front of you waiting for you to get your lighting perfect, every second counts. Enter the Xpro-S… This trigger has everything! I can control all my flashes (TT685S, Flashpoint TTL R2) and strobes (XPLOR 600 HSS, AD200) quickly and easily with an interface I can navigate and that makes sense. The buttons are laid out perfectly and the screen is just the right size. I can’t think of anything that this system is lacking. I really am excited to grow this system and plan on sticking with this one.

It’s a really solid trigger. Set up was easy less than 5 seconds with my AD200. Overall nice features makes my wireless set up awesome.
Unfortunately had to give 3 stars because this (or maybe just my product) doesnt handle heat well. The display screen started scrambling at 95 degrees. It was my first time ever using it. I quickly put it away after being outside for no more than 5-10 minutes. The device itself wasnt overheating or anything and the screen went back to normal when getting too a cooler area. admittedly it was very humid that day. But recently went to shoot on a 85 degree day with a nice chilly breeze. 15-20 minutes into the shoot it was scrambling once again. Really bummed out, because it really is great a lens.

Shipped fast! This X-Pro S trigger has been a huge improvement over my X1T-S, as I really enjoy the larger lit screen and the new TCM function. As can be seen from the picture, it is actually narrower than the X1T-S. The TCM function is really awesome as I find that the automatic TTL settings on my V860iis and AD 360iiC are usually too bright/ hot. This allows me to automatically shift to manual mode and adjust the lighting as necessary. This should also save flash battery life as the TTL function sends automatic mini flashes that is read by the camera which then automatically adjusts the power on the flash.

Godox just makes great products. This is a great flash trigger with a premium feel and sleek design. It is easy to use and understand, and is intuitive with godox flash units.
