Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

This camera is nearly everything I hoped it would be in terms of improvement over the X-T3. Autofocus is significantly improved, and having animal eye detect is extremely helpful for taking pictures of my dog. The images are not noticeably noisier than the 26mp sensors in high ISO/low light. Build quality is very good and the grip is significantly better than the X-T3. I had to use a hand grip attachment on the X-T3, but I am comfortable using any lens without a grip on the X-T5. However, I highly recommend the Smallrig hand grip for this camera. If you own a silver one, it blends seamlessly with the camera and offers a bit better control with larger lenses.

What I liked was of course what I like about all of fuji cameras. I love the layout of the controls, I love the color science and the appearance of the images.
What I did not like was the fact that this was missing the printed manual and that the spring in the battery compartment had been bent over and smashed so that it would not eject the battery.
I suspect that this had been returned to amazon and that it had not been properly inspected.

I have been using xt2, xt3, xt4, and xh1;
Now, I am using xt5 and x100v.
So let’s jump into the business. Autofocus: still lacking object tracking. I wish they could add it via firmware update. It significantly improved, but sometimes it shows you focused on your left eye, but in the photo, it turns out you have focused right eye. It’s frustrating. Screen: ok, there is now a way to get more pixels, but I wished to get rid of fully articulating screens because, for photographers, it is hard to point at a subject when your screen is not directly in the same direction. 40mp, this is the most crucial aspect of my decision. I am using mainly 50-140mm, which provides excellent pictures. Now they are 50% sharper and more accurate. Overall this is an ideal device for me because #fujicolors change everything. It is hard to get out of this system beacuse they create products that you stick with them forever. Keep doing great job you.

I upgraded from a X-Pro3 and am very happy with this camera so far. The X-Pro3 would be perfect if the rear screen didn’t make it nearly impossible to use on a tripod. But since that’s not the case, I decided to buy the X-T5.
So far, the major standouts to me are the IBIS and the viewfinder on the X-T5. IBIS makes video easy with any lens, even the non-stabilized primes. The viewfinder is an upgrade coming from the X-Pro3. I am surprised many reviewers are listing it as a negative since it’s so large and easy to see.
It’s also excellent to have the 3-way tilt screen back. Really, all-in-all this is the best Fuji possible camera for most people.

It’s an excellent camera. I am upgrading from my X-T30, which I loved. But just one thing to be aware and it’s not explicitly mentioned anywhere. If the seller is Camera Canada then for return they will charge for upto 25% of restocking free. Which is not clear from Amazon return policy. They send a note with the package. I am not planning to return mine, but just want to share the detail.

Shipping was ridiculously fast, arrived 3 days prior to estimate. Very happy with purchase and finally getting my hands on an X-T5.
I opted to pay the extra for a kit lens as individual camera bodies are back ordered everywhere.

What Fuji has done with the xt5 is everything I wanted in the xt4. This camera for me personally is perfect. The build and the size feels so good in my hand that it inspires me to go out and take photos, that to me is more import then specs and technology. They outdid them selves and I can’t recommend this camera enough it is absolutely fantastic.

I wanted to like it, unfortunately mine arrived with a small defect in the corner of the LCD screen which is not up to the Fujifilm standard of quality I am used to.
Furthermore, Amazon refused to replace the item and I was forced to send it back for a refund at my own expense. $120 in shipping costs later… suffice to say I am really not happy with this purchase.
Computer Professional –
This camera is just amazing and my overall impression of the product is positive.
Unfortunately inside the box comes a printed note from the seller advising that in case of returning the item there is a restocking fee of 25%. Although I’m not interested in sending my camera back that’s a shady strategy from the seller to avoid his responsibilities. Thought it was worth mentioning since they “forgot” to mention that on the product’s page

Finally upgraded from my beloved XT-1.. The Metz Mecablitz M400 flash works perfectly, had to do nothing… it was like I was using the XT-1. Dimensions are almost the same as the XT-! except for the thickness, which is perhaps half an inch more on the XT-5.. feel on the hand is quite similar to the XT-1.. shutter button is more spongy than the XT-1.. but otherwise I’m loving it!!. This was what I was waiting for since the XT-1. Major update in resolution but otherwise same diminutive dimensions and “analog” look/feel… thank you FUJI!!
