Good for small scale productions easy and hassle free but dont think is 4K monitor

Works great, but I wish they added at least one of the color scopes like Waveform. Other than that, the false color is really helpful and so is the zoom feature for keeping things in perfect focus.

didnt come with proper hdmi cable for my sony A7

I used this monitor all day every day throughout 2020, 2021, and much of 2022. I am still using it several times a week, but not nearly as much as I did when all my clients were on Zoom calls. The main use has been for monitoring cameras connected to my ATEM, but I have occasionally used it as a video monitor with DSLR and mirrorless cameras (both indoors and out).
It doesn’t have all the features of some higher end monitors (like custom LUTs), but the focus peaking, histogram, and false color are all I really need. It has full sized HDMI in and out, is bright enough for outdoor use (when using the supplied hood), picture quality is good, solid build, and lasts all day on a NPF-970 battery. What more do you need?
There are tons of offerings in small monitors, so can’t say what I’d get if I had to replace this one, but I’d be very comfortable with anything from Feelworld given my experience with this monitor.

Wanted a screen to use with my SLR for some freelance video projects. I already had the Sony style batteries so didn’t have to order any which was a plus for me. Picture quality is great and makes focusing much easier then using the viewfinder. The false color option for focusing is also very effective. Happy with the purchase. Highly recommended.

Pros:
really solid metal build (this could be a con if you care about weight)
Good picture quality
Good value
7” screen
Hdmi pass through
Cons:
Glitchy
Crashed on me multiple times
The hdmi output signal is not stable
Began flickering recently
Contacted customer support but have not heard back
Conclusion. This may have been a defective unit, but for reliability sake I will be getting a slightly more expensive model from a different manufacturer and returning this unit. I may at some point purchase another unit to see if it has the same issues. Will update review if I do.

This has been a huge help for me shooting video. My DSLR screen is fairly small, like all of them, and does not have focus peaking, so that feature alone is huge for me, since my eyes aren’t as sharp as they used to be.
It seems pretty sturdy and has a lot of features I haven’t even used yet, and may not.
There is one really dumb thing, the more so because I can’t see why it should be this way. As long as there is a battery attached it never really shuts down. Even when “turned off” there is a red light that’s always on and drawing power, and maybe some other parts are drawing power too. So the battery has to be removed every time you finish using it. (Also the battery has to be purchased separately, but that’s really clearly stated in the product description, so I don’t take off for the, even though it’s annoying.)

This is a very nice external monitor for a DSLR camera (although it could be driven by any HDMI source). The larger screen is delightful. However with a battery mounted on it the weight is substantial and makes using the camera very awkward. Mounting it on the camera is quite easy, however removing it is very difficult and clumsy. Overall I’d say this is most useful if you are shooting from a tripod. 99% of my shooting is handheld and I’ve found this monitor to not be worth using.

not tested fully but it’s a great product

I love this monitor

Overall this monitor ROCKS.
The “False Color” feature alone is worth the entire price of the monitor. The False Color features helps to get your lighting exposure perfect every time. It’s super easy, and takes only a few minutes. (check YouTube for vids on how to use False Color)
PROs:
(1) Great price/value.
(2) Filming is much easier and more reliable with a field monitor verses camera’s small screen.
(3) Sufficient input and outputs for hdmi, power, audio.
(4) Good quality picture indoors.
(5) Good quality picture outdoors with sunshade.
(6) Swivel allows manual rotation of monitor, necessary as sun moves, to prevent glare.
(7) Sunshade folds flat, and together with monitor it stores in flat section of my Lowpro camera bag.
CONs:
(1) Monitor is not 4k. The “4K” in item title is misleading and refers to the 4k pass-thru using the HDMI input and output jacks. However the resolution is more than sufficient for our non-4k shooting.
(2) Power adaptor is not included.
(3) Battery life is “just okay”.
(4) Battery plate not available for “Film Industry Standard” batteries including V-Mount and others.
And here’s one compelling reason to have V-Mount: Changing battery or powering down monitor stops our Canon M50 DSLR from recording. (recording stops when camera’s video out switches from external monitor to internal flip screen LCD monitor, or visa-versa) (issue is with the camera, not the monitor, and other cameras do this too) Therefore it makes sense for this camera to handle industrial sized “V-Mount” batteries. Especially since majority of amateur, semi-professional, and professional shooting takes place outdoors and requires batteries rather than directly plug-in power.
