I had one like this for years and I really liked it because it was lightweight and easy to carry around to put youtube, netflix etc on while outdoors doing gardening etc. Anyway, the old one was acting up for awhile (eventually the screws get stripped and it’s harder to keep it in place) and so I decided to replace it with this one. It’s the exact same thing, just a different brand. It’s not super stable because it’s really tiny and lightweight, but it’s good enough to use to hold my phone. Keep in mind you’ll have to have something that will screw into the head of this to hold your phone. So, long story short, in the interim as I waited for this to come in, I started using an older lightweight tripod I had, and it’s much more stable. So this one I bought got put on the back burner. I suggest buying something more sturdy like a real tripod, a small ballhead and phone attachment – if you’re going to be using this for a phone. It’ll be better quality and much sturdier. I honestly can’t see how anyone would be able to use this mini tripod for anything other than a phone because it’s so lightweight. It does have the standard screw that will screw into the bottom of a point and shoot type camera, but I just don’t know how well it would hold the weight, especially over time. For the price, it’s ‘good enough’ especially because a real tripod would cost significantly more.

I wasn’t expecting much but this little tripod is very good. It is small but It’s heavy and well built and very easy to use. Pop on the camera..tighten the circlular thingy and you are good to go. Knob to set the angle is like (meh) okay. Didn’t have any problem with it yet. Overall it’s worth the price and serves my purpose.

I’ve had a few little tripods that came free with other products and look pretty much like this and all but one of them were total junk – and the one that was actually usable was too wobbly to trust. I needed a tiny tripod that actually worked so I gave this one a try based mainly on positive feedback. I wasn’t disappointed.
The tripod looks and feels far better quality than the others I’ve used but is also rather heavier too despite being smaller. This is not a bad thing. The tiny ball head locks solidly despite the locking screw feeling a bit vague, and more importantly it doesn’t move the camera when you lock it as the others do. This little design improvement really matters – it’s really annoying to see the camera move from where you carefully aimed it when you tighten the ball head.
For what it’s worth it also holds a lot more weight than claimed quite easily but be aware that the tripod’s footprint is tiny so the weight needs to be pretty well centred to avoid accidents. Buy it – you really can’t go wrong for less than a fiver 🙂

Hello and welcome to my review
Are you ready to hear all about the AmazonBasics Lightweight Mini Tripod?
Well let’s get started with the
PROs: It seems pretty durable. It is made out of metal and has a classic big tripod look and a mini feel. I liked that my web cam worked with this tripod, I have a logitech c920 in case you were wondering. It simply screwed on and then you use the nut wheel to tighten it up. there is also an adjustment to position it almost any way you need to also with a lock on it. Each leg extended 3 tiers and had nice little rubber feets on them.
Now for the
CONs: I wish this had been a little taller , silly me ordered it thinking it was going to be bigger than 8 inches tall.I also felt like it would have looked better if the legs were all the same color rather than 1 black section and the rest silver.
CONCLUSION: I would recommend this product if you are looking for something small to hold a camera on like a table top or a desk. I found the product to be well constructed and easy to use. If you found this review helpful please say so .

Firstly, if you get the tripod manufactured in 2019, the MRP printed will be Rs. 319. If you get tripod manufactured in 2017 (for example) the MRP printed will be Rs. 765. Whatever the scenario, Amazon is selling it for more than the MRP.
I first received with MRP Rs. 319 and I immediately contacted the Amazon customer care, pointed out the issue and the difference amount was refunded in Amazon Pay Wallet. Later when I was playing around with the tripod, i noticed it was defective, the top part was crooked. I placed a replacement request. The next day a new tripod was delivered.
The second tripod that was delivered was manufactured in 2017 and had the old MRP printed of Rs. 765. This piece was proper and didn’t have any defect. I tried using it with Canon 1100D / Rebel T3 with the kit lens 18-55mm and it took the load well. You really need to tighten the ball joint well which moves 360 degrees.
I fixed the mobile phone attachment (you don’t get this with the tripod) and used Nokia 6.1+ with no issues.
This tripod is for point and shoot cameras and mobile phones specifically. Could be frustrating handling a DSLR on this if used often.
The tripod otherwise is sturdy and made of good quality, can’t be said as to how long will it be durable.

At first glance, this seems like the perfect desktop budget tripod. In reality it is far more maddening than the money saved on this. The tripod part is fine. It’s sturdy enough. However, the weight of even the smallest of webcams makes the top part unlock so you will CONSTANTLY be fighting with gravity trying to get the camera to lock in place. As soon as you think you’ve got it locked and good to go, some internal mechanic slips and your camera is suddenly looking at the ceiling. Again.
So no, I would not recommend this unless you want your tripod to look at the ceiling.

Not bad for a tiny little tripod you might need. There is no way to tighten the legs but you need a decent amount of pressure to make it lower from where you set them to – and if something weighs that much it should be on a hardier tripod anyway. Downside is that the seat doesn’t sit at 90-degrees when you tilt it straight up (it is 90-degrees when you shift it to the side)

I decided to pick up this little tripod to go with the new webcam I just bought. My monitor is on a raised shelf, so my old webcam pointed down toward me at an angle. That often left me looking up at it above my glasses – and some people seemed to think this made me look creepy. Now I can put my tripod-mounted webcam on the shelf where my monitor sits and have it face me pretty much straight on. I was initially a little surprised at just how small this tripod is, but it has worked out perfectly for me. You don’t get any instructions in the box, but it isn’t too hard to figure out. You mount your camera to the screw on top, maneuver it to whatever angle you want, and then use the dumaflache on the side to tighten it up to hold that position. Once you extend the legs of the tripod, there’s no worry about the thing slipping or falling over. It’s definitely portable, as well – heck, I could carry this thing in my front pants pocket without any problem. You need a special clamp if you want to mount your smartphone on this thing, but I can mount my old Flip camera just as easily as I can my webcam. I’m very happy with this little tripod.

Purchased this for a vacation I was taking and didn’t’ feel like packing my normal sized tripod. My main goal for this was so I could take long exposure photos of the stars when my dad and I stayed on top of Comet mountain in Montana. To reach the trail head we had to ride dirt bikes 4 miles in because the roads were too ruff for most vehicles to traverse so a full sized tripod was out of the question. This little guy performed wonderfully. It was small and light weight so I could just toss it in a pocket on my backpack and it held the camera still enough to take some decent photos (my camera is a point and click so it wasn’t going to be National Geographic worthy)

I bought this tripod for my Gosky 12X55 monocular in order to take steady long-distance photos whilst attaching my smartphone to the eyepiece, whether doing this from a window sill indoors or in the great outdoors. This little tripod is excellent for this purpose for three reasons: the telescopic legs are sturdy and stay firmly in place (my previous tripod kept collapsing due to the weight of the monocular and phone); once screwed into the monocular base, it stays firmly in place and there is zero wobble (unlike two other tripods I’ve used); and collapsed down, it measures 11cm X 3cm, which means it takes up hardly any space in my bag whilst travelling. Obviously, as this is a mini tripod, you need a high surface to stand it on, but this is more practical whilst on hikes than walking around with a full-sized, three-foot camera tripod. I totally recommend this.
