For some reason, each time I buy some GoPro accessories on Amazon, the J-hooks ones are always missing. So, those are great to have extra in the GoPro gear box.
The main use of those adapters was for my chest-harness, since those allows the camera to be adjusted in lot of different angles, as well as allowing the camera to come close to the chest, which is useful for straight forward filming.
There are 5 adapters in this set, which is good. The not so good part is that they do feel a bit cheaply made, and not as good as the original GoPro ones.

Por ese precio no se puede pedir nada más! Funciona como debe, es de muy buena calidad y es más barato que muchos que son de plástico.

Though I see many good reviews of this mount, mine seemed to have come with stripped-out threads, and therefore, I can’t use it as it was intended. I was going to use it to mount a “Cycliq Fly12” (which has “GoPro” style mounts, and can be placed upside-down on your bars) however, being that said camera/light/alarm (read my review on the “Fly12” page for further details) is quite expensive (like many “GoPro” cameras [the LEAST expensive one is $129.99, which is rather inexpensive, actually; but as for most others….]) with that stripped thread (that came like that from the manufacturer) I did’nt want to take the chance it would ‘give way’ while I was driving down the road, and even though the camera has a safety tether, I STILL don’t want to risk a $350.00 camera/light/alarm! Anyway, I’m glad the mount arrives with an Allen wrench to tighten the screws (it fits them, but I can only tighten 1) The mount is geared to fit a 31.8mm (1.25 in) handlebar, but I used it on a smaller one, a 25.4 mm (1″) one, which required I use a thick rubber spacer from one of the lights I did’nt require any spacers for (In other words, I did a bit of jury-rigging). Now, to answer the question I had when I first ordered this (that being “how far does this extend from the handlebar?”) first off, the length of the entire mount, is 4″ (101.6 mm), as far as how far from the handlebar it actually extends, that answer would be 2″ (50.8 mm). Also, at the widest point in the area where the “GoPro” type mount is, it’s a little over 0.5″ wide (12.7 mm). But as I first said, 3 of the 4 screws were stripped out when it arrived, so be careful when you order this, and just be aware that this is possible, yet I hope
you don’t have to deal with it as I have.
(UPDATE 11/22/2016)
I was going to return this mount to get my money back, but it seems they have an exchange policy, and the company (as well as Amazon) were both VERY easy to work with, and they sent me a new mount for no charge, as well as not requiring me to send the other one back! (Actually, what are they going to do with a stripped-out mount, anyway?) They also had it ship VERY fast, (it got here in 2 days, when the original took around a week and a half!) while it worked great, and was’nt stripped at all! I guess the first one just snuck by quality control, and unfortunately got shipped to me! Still, the fact that the company had such great customer service, and replaced the mount so quickly, without a single question, made me VERY happy, along with making another loyal customer! I added 3 stars, since I was so pleased, and they were so easy to work with! Like I said in a previous review, customer service means a LOT to me!

These are really heavy duty and I bought them after a few of the plastic ones broke. However, because they are metal, they do not clamp down on the attachments making it that it gives no support and the camera just flops around no matter how much you try to tighten it.

I have this mount on two of my road bikes and they work great keeping the Cycliq Fly12 in place much better than the OEM mounts do. I mounted mine upside down as I prefer to see my status light on the camera and to keep the brake/shift cables out of camera view.

Los tornillos no sujetan bien, claramente es un defecto de fabricación. Tanto los que sujetan el tubo como los que sujetan el soporte para la cámara se barren. No me refiero a que si aprietas demasiado, me refiero a que con solo apretar suavemente se barren.

For the price of this mount, I didn’t expect much from a cnc machined part knockoff part that’s 1/5th the price of the original, and that was undoubtedly made in China. There were shortcuts taken to meet this price, so I’ll cover those first. Most of the screw holes are not deburred or countersunk, and the anodization has a few chips because of it. The other edges have flaws indicating that it was deburred by hand instead of during machining. There’s also a flaw where a fillet meets the side of the part. These flaws do not inhibit functionality, and I might not have noticed them if I wasn’t a machinist.
This still gets five stars from me, and of course price is a big part of that, but it wouldn’t get five stars if it didn’t do its job well. I was immediately impressed when I pulled it out of the box and found one of the screws barely installed, which made it easy to swivel the cap over the handlebar. It may have only saved a few seconds, but that thoughtfulness tells me that Fotasy is thinking about how us customers are going to use this product. I was able to get the mount tightly clamped to the fattest part of the handlebar in less than a minute, and even had enough space to run the cable from my light behind the screw. This initial impression was confirmed when I installed the camera case and the joint had a perfect fit that required minimal torque on the screw to securely position the camera case. Even with the poor condition of the roads I ride with my rock hard 28mm tires filled at 110 psi, this thing has no problem securely holding my camera. As my pictures show, this narrow GoPro mount leaves plenty of room on the side of the handlebar for a bike light AND the burly

All aluminum, not sure if it is 6061. Mounting it on a Trek Verve 3, with 22.2mm – 7/8″ bar. No one makes a mount like this for the 7/8″ standard bars. I’m wait on a (google this for a possible fix) Fixcraft handlebar shim 22.2mm to 31.8mm. I may have to cut the shim length down. The Fixcraft shim is 6061 aluminum, very well finished and has a spring retainer to hold the two halves together. It’s made for bars to gooseneck but I think it will be perfect for this mounting fix. I’ll put black electrical tape on the inside of shims to save from marring and grip the bar. Another big upside to this mount besides the price compared to the k-edge is that the standard GoPro thumb screw will work with this, threads are the same.
Update…
Didn’t want to wait on the metal shim, this fix may be much better. Went to ACE hardware picked up a few inches of very heavy black 1″ tubing. id had to be about 1/2″ or so. Split a section of tubing then cut off about 1/2″. Works perfect, cost a few cents and rock solid on a 22.2mm – 7/8″ bar.
