Not strong enough to hold up light as a boom. I tightened it as much as I possibly could and the light still slowly rotates downward and the boom arm slowly droops down.
And that was with the AD300 so not even an overwhelmingly heavier light.
Wish I could return but didn’t try it out soon enough within the return window

Really sturdy and strong. Can be a little bit on the heavy side to transport but I’ve been ok with it. Something to bare in mind.
Easy to put together.

The biggest thing with the C-Stand is how sturdy it is being what it is made of. Used it on a shoot recently with a 20 year videographer and he asked me where I got the stand. When I told him the price he was floored.
My only nit-picky comment about it is that the based legs are a not really easy to put in to place but considering I can put an 7 lbs light at the end of the fully extended boom, with sand bags on the legs, I can deal with it.

Honestly for the money this c-stand is solid. It’s heavier then I imagined it would be and the foot locking mechanism is a bit different, but it’s tall, sturdy, and the added grip is actually pretty nice. The carrying case was ripped when it arrived, actually the box as well. I think it was just tossed around by the shipping company, which is a testament to the solid nature of the actual stand. It broke through the bag, the box, and still it looks brand new.

I am a professional photographer. I have no problem spending money on gear that can’t be replicated by lower priced manufacturers. But when it comes to things like clamps and stands I am more lenient. This C stand works just as great as any brand I’ve ever used. It’s solidly made, durable and stable. Works perfect for my needs.

New Review: Neewer was kind enough to send me a replacement stand after my issues with the first one. I have nothing but great things to say about the replacement! Everything looks great and is very sturdy/high quality.
Old review: The bag came ripped and the main stand/pole sticking out from the bottom! The seams were not sewn correctly and it’s just not a good carrying case to hold everything. Due to this, my package came without an arm for the stand and rendered it useless. I don’t know who went wrong there… so I am giving it another go and I am current in the process of exchanging the product and hope the next one that they send actually comes with all the parts and with a functional carrying case. I will update this review when that happens, until this, these are my impressions. The stand seems pretty sturdy though from what I’ve seen.

Because I already have the Neewer Pro and happy with it, I bought this one for backup & to mount my camera.
1/3- It’s too bobbly for a camera. I contacted Neewer. A week later I got an answer and this was after sending pictures and a video (they requested). I had originally stated that I own a c-stand and knew how to use one.
2/3- After a week, their response was too put a heavier softbox on it to steady it.
*The reason it’s not as steady as the more expensive Pro c-stand is not so much design but rather the mechanism design and size. This c-stand is less expensive because the base is made cheaper, the center column has less metal and all the tightening knobs are smaller (again less metal)
3/3- I did decide to keep it But Will Not Be using it for lay-flat, meaning it moves too much for the focus needed. I will be loading it with lights and hope the center column legs will last.

I bought this as a present for my son. He seems happy enough with the stand so far however the case in next to useless. Lasted less than 5 minutes, ripped in two places already ready. Very dissapointing.

The stand is great, works as it should. It easily holds my Westcott FJ400 and keeps it stable. I even used it to hold up a pinata at a kid’s BD party. The only thing that sucks is the carrying case. The 2nd time i used the stand, I was at a remote location. On the way out, the case literally melted at the seam. No problem I thought, I just sewed it back together. Well, the next time out, the other seam did the same thing. If you’re gonna be transporting it alot, go ahead and find yourself a case because the one that comes with it is trash.

Stand does as advertised, the bag useless, ripped after one use and had to throw it out.

Needed a C-Stand for a weekend shoot and saw this one on prime! I have been using Neewer products in the past and never had any issues with them at all. Product arrived in 2 days and of course it never disappoints! Also include with a travel bag as well, which is a huge bonus for storing it after it’s finished being used.

The whole point of a C stand is that it is solid and steady. This stand is poor quality and wobbles. It is therefore pretty useless and I wouldn’t consider it safe to use on a professional shoot. Avoid it and spend the extra £80 to buy a high quality stand.

New stand, but the legs are so wibbly wobbly I can imagine what will happen to them after period of time, so i am not going to risk with my softbox and flashlight. Carrying bag is also really poor quality, out from the box and already had 2 holes so basically can not use the bag at all. This is not my first Neewer product but my first 1 star rating. Next time i will think twice before purchasing Neewer products again.
