Key here is it works and very much changes your videographer game. I love it but i cant 5 star because… Its a bit flimsy, the connectors are low quality and needs 1 more weight… if you need a jib and dont have a huge budget… i does the job!!!

Works well as a budget option for smaller cameras. The head of the unit can shift and needs to be adjusted/tightened occasionally to maintain a level horizon. Otherwise it works as expected.

Much more solid and professional than I expected. Neewer consistently impresses me with their products. Had it set up and balanced in a matter of minutes.

Light and portable which is exactly what I wanted.
The maximum reach of the fully extended arm is about 130cm from the tripod pivot (This info is not included in the listing and I’m sure will be useful to future buyers) – the 2kg counter weights will only balance the smallest camera at full extension – so any DSLR mounted on a 75mm will require more weights (Im going to pick up some extra dumbbell plate weights, with the larger 30mm central hole for this purpose)
On the downside, my internal zip on the included bag instantly broke as detailed in a previous review

One future modification that would be really useful would be to allow for a plate on the top of the central pivot so the whole device can be easily mounted upside down for underslung cameras – you can still do this though by reassembling the end of the device this way

CAUTION: The jib may arrive damaged due to poor packaging. Neewer has placed this carbon fiber jib loose within a rectangular box which doest have any protection on the ends. The jib comes with two weights that are about in the center of the box. So with one good drop the box crushes and the end of the jib is damaged. (See pics) For Amazon, it needs to be double boxed unless Neewer fixes their inadequate packaging.
SERVICE: Still waiting to hear back from Neewer for a few weeks now on replacing the damaged parts. So don’t order it right before you need to use it!
PRODUCT: I feel like this jib has great potential. It is lightweight and feels solid. It does have some flex and it definitely needs to mounted onto a sturdy set of tripod legs. I tried it with my Neewer carbon fiber tripod and it flexes which allows left/right movement when you move the jib up/down. On a heavier tripod it feels much steadier. The movement of the jib itself feel smooth so far. Instructions for a first time setup are a little lacking but it’s not too difficult honestly. Comes mostly assembled already.
FEATURES: I’d like to see a different adjustment mechanism on the lower arm to allow the operator to actively alter the camera tilt while raising or lowering the jib head. But with a little practice you can get a good camera angle, it just doesn’t tilt as you jib up or down (This is my first jib so it’s possible I just haven’t figured out yet how to set it fully.)

Bought this to get crane like shots while learning and on no budget. It’s solid and seems well crafted. Combined with a low weight camera, it helps to get angles otherwise unobtainable without either a drone or much more expensive, tailored equipment.

Pretty flimsy. Not very steady. Wish it came with separate camera connections. – however I upgraded from 2 stars to 4 bc neewer costumer service was really outgoing about trying to help me .

I always wanted my own camera crane of some sort, but never thought I would be able to afford one. Decided to buy this for a gig I was working on and could not be any happier with how well it is made! It is extremely strong and durable, capable of supporting my camera and largest lens with ease. Operating it is simple, it can be assembled quickly, and it fits onto any tripod making it super versatile for a jib. I love how long it is too, I have got some amazing shots with this and I’m so excited to use it again on my next gig. My films and projects now have a much higher production value that makes all the difference. For the price, this is an amazing jib and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget that still wants to get some production value in their work.
